I feel like the real answer is all the die cast heads were originally intended for SOMETHING. Thunderwing - Inevitable Sky Shadow repaint that never appeared
Scorponok - For when he inevitably won the fan vote, but then didn't Dunno about Rodimus and Magnus but I'm sure there must have been a Prime repaint planned at some point for Magnus. The Rodimus one is just so odd as it's so similar to Hot Rod's head. |

I mean I understand the theory behind a Rodimus head, but in practice it doesn't really look much different unless you have them right side by side

The Rodimus one is just so odd as it's so similar to Hot Rod's head. The thing is that if those four had been done, they'd have all been Leader sized. That would have meant a larger head and, like Blaster/Soundwave, Sixshot and Skyshaodw/Overlord, the Titamaster would have formed the toy's face rather than the entire head, like they do in the boxsets. So I can see the appeal of doing the entire heads for these characters. Unfortunately their leaders didn't happen in TR. Rodimus has showed up in POTP and I think we think the other 3 are high on the possibles list: Magnus and Thunderwing were on the next Prime vote news.tfw2005.com/2016/12/01/power-primes-fan-vote-vote-next-leader-cybertron-329419Magnus also fits the "upgrade a deluxe" play pattern for this year's leaders. |

Had my first proper TR quality control issue.
Got sent home from work due to Glasgow doubling as Winterfell today so thought me and Murray would open Transformers.
Started with one of the cheap Tesco Deluxes so opened up Skullsmasher. First of all the leg was detached out the packaging. Then one of the arms came off. And the neck hinge doesn't look right. Then one of the claws pinged off. The tail won't stay on. The legs won't stay clipped together. And the same arm and leg keep falling every time I cough.

It was bought as a spare for Murray to play with so it wouldve been getting destroyed eventually. He never even got to play with it though.
He picked it up after I'd transformed it and the tail fell off. Then the legs came apart and wouldn't stay clipped. He brought it back to me a minute later in about 5 bits, it just turns to dust when you touch it.

Skullsmasher is easily the worst for QC issues. They all seem to have at least one of those issues, looks like you got the full house.

It isn't even Poundland standard. It's incredible.
I've been lucky, the biggest issues I've had are maybe one loose or stiff joint and Twinfernos tail needing a bit of posing to stay together.

My Hardhead and Perceptor have the heads wedged so tight I can't get them off so they haven't been transformed. Any more force would just snap the connection. Otherwise I've been ok for QC so far. Scourge has wobble head but I just pretend he is really old and senile.

Skullcruncher is the worst I've got. Krok is so much better QC wise, which is odd.
Highbrow has the wobbliest head.

The clip used on Scourge, Highbrow & Windblade's head - they're all remoulds of the same toy and use the same piece - is another TR part with a reputation for not being so good.
