You all say that, but for this to be properly part of the new MP philosophy, it should be in scale with MP10. So we're getting all that in a figure an inch tall. Pretty impressive engineering IMO. Ha! Yes, if it was I'd be ALL OVER that. But carefully. Because I wouldn't want to break such a teeny thing.

I'm not gonna judge anything on an obviously absurdly basic render. It leave me feeling neutral. It neither excites me, nor does it detract from my previous excitement. But the fact tomy is looking outside their precious Sunbow G1 for MPs alone makes this worth the purchase. Hopefully it's the size of the cars, and not Optimus. You all say that, but for this to be properly part of the new MP philosophy, it should be in scale with MP10. So we're getting all that in a figure an inch tall. Pretty impressive engineering IMO. Bwaaahahaha

Scale wise, Optimus Primal is actually the size of King Kong, so bigger than a truck. He's as big as a T-Rex.

No he's not - as evidenced in the TV show, the Beast-era Transformers are all considerably smaller than their G1 counterparts...

And as a Corrolary, if that MP Ramjet is going to be to scale with MP-10 he is going to be the largest Masterpiece to date... From the sublime to the ridiculous. :-) Karl

They are missing a trick if they don't use the plastic they used on the TF4 toys - it could work with giving texture to the toy, but an easy way to get them to use it is say - It saves you money making it using the rubbish plastic.

The ape mode looks like a mess (by MP standards).

Amazing! He has an ape-accurate anus! Is this a case that we could not predict, Where butt flaps are to be commended? Without such a thing we see such horror, And we shall all be quite offended. (You may have seen my little edit, I did it to fix the metre, rhyming up late is a bad idea, But at least I didn't say seeker.)

It's a Prime and an experiment with the possibility of a branch line from the main range. Probably the most likely figure outside G1 to be done? People have been asking for a while for MPs outside the sacred 84-86 bracket so the anniversary is probably a chance to try it out.
I'd rather have seen a Fire Convoy, but there we go. I've nothing against the beasties.

Has the price been confirmed? I'd hope he'd be in a similar scale to Wheeljack and other cars, priced around £50-60.
I'm curious to see how they use this design in the future. We'll probably have a Burning Primal and Universe Primal repaint in the near future, but who knows what will happen in the long term? Might we see a Transmetal Primal, Apeface, or Apelinq remould at some point.

ACTUAL PICTURES! news.tfw2005.com/2016/01/20/clear-image-masterpiece-optimus-primal-prototype-308122Looks like the potbelly becomes the robochest in a bit of faux kibble reproduction. I really hope this is car sized, and not MP-10 sized. Has the price been confirmed? I'd hope he'd be in a similar scale to Wheeljack and other cars, priced around £50-60. Might we see a Transmetal Primal, Apeface, or Apelinq remould at some point. We'll get Burning Convoy, and probably toy colors. Universe would be obscure even for Hasbro, and it's not sunbow so Takara would *never* do it as Apeface.
