They seem to carry a lot of 2000AD/Treasury of British Comics imprint titles a fair bit cheaper than rrp. Charley's War books for £12 instead of £20.

So I'm watching the Marvel Two In One Epic collection's prices. I've noticed the prices for new trades have been slipping up recently, especially early on in their availability. MTIO Epic went up on Books Etc this am for £22.77 www.booksetc.co.uk/books/view/-9781302913328The Daredevil Root of Evil epic first went up at a similar price but is now £19 www.booksetc.co.uk/books/view/-9781302912581New FF is £20 www.booksetc.co.uk/books/view/-9781302911379But Coming of Galactus is £24.50 www.booksetc.co.uk/books/view/-9781302913311So do I pull the trigger at £22.77, which I'd have judged a reasonable price just a few months ago? Or do I wait? I'm also asking why I preorder on Amazon at all now. Only one pre order has gone to term recently, Silver Surfer Thanos Quest epic for £21.99 and I probably could have got that cheaper if I'd have looked. The cheapest current preorder I have is £23.45 for the new Doctor Strange v1 epic and you can bet that'll get cheaper elsewhere....

£20.03 this morning which is I think where I crack. £8.25 under minimum Amazon pre order price and £13.47 under their current price!
I'll keep an eye on it to see if it goes lower to set a bench mark for the future.

Oh sure. At £20 that is the time to strike for Epic Collections. They gather dust in FPE who want £36 for them. Many is the time an impulse purchase has been halted by that price.

Generally at the momemt, I'm operating on the principle of if I see and Epic for £20 or less, buy it.
The new X-Factor volume has led me a merry dance but patience paid off this morning :-)

Woke up in the middle of the night and canceled my Forbidden Planet Sale books order. Something about feeling skint. Also: surely they should have shipped out to me by now.

£23 is the regular cheapest price on Amazon till about 18-24 months ago. I would stretch to that if everything else is going up accordingly
