Heaven knows which forum this should go in, but Andy Wildman's only gone and nicked the name of Stuart's new book to use for his own project: www.patreon.com/wildman?ty=hYou know, having watched the video it doesn't actually say that a monthly donation gives you access to the Universe art he's going to draw, which I can imagine would be the big pull for a project like that.

Everyone wants to be me.
I'm not a huge fan of Wildman's current style (and was put off at an AA, Christ, about ten years ago where he cheerfully said his work on the Panini Armada comic was poor because they didn't pay well enough to put more effort in. Even ignoring the fact Lee Sullivan--who was and still is a regular comic artist unlike Wildman-- and Simon Williams did put the work in despite the pay, fankly based on War Within and Reg I think he's felt underpaid on just about all his modern TF work), but it's a nice idea for those who do like it though.

In all fairness his pencils were butchered on War Within to fit the Dreamwave house style.
I've always found Wildman's art to be a marmite affair, you love the expressive humanness of it, or you just see humans in silly helmets pretending to be robots. I love the direction his art has taken recently, at least as far as pin-ups go. The Grimlock postcard from AA a couple of years ago was beautiful.

One thing with Lee Sullivan going back to AA2004. He had to redraw most of his work while doing Dr Who & stuff during the 90's because his cat came in wet & sat on his art that was out to dry. Alos one thing not to hold against Lee here because I agree with what he said. IDW asked him to do a 1 in 100 cover for RG1 #100 - but IDW where not goign to apy him for doing it. So IDW get sale of cover A & B up for comic shops ordering 50 of each to get 1 Lee Sullivan cover & Lee get £0 for drawing it. You can guess what Lee said & when he did the Dr WHo comic they paid him less than what Titan/Panini pays - which is peanuts.

Yes, I'd heard some tales regarding IDW's pricing for covers from various creators over the years.

I will need to wait for the post AA orders to go up, but that does look awesome for the price. Still pondering giving to the patreon too. Andy Wildman's art is a big part of my childhood.
If love it if Geoff Senior did something like this.

It does say on the blog page that 'plenty' will be available for orders online after AA. We can but trust to that. Or in your case I think all you do is buy online and show the receipt at AA to collect. So you could do it through Mr Turnbull?
I'd have said he may have underestimated demand though at that price.

Well I not at AA. I will hope Wildman has some left afterwards to purchase online. It would be an automatic purchase to get, frame and put on a wall!!!
Nnngh!

I signed up to the Patreon thing because I'm interested in it.
His style might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he churns out some pwitty pictures imo.

I've always loved his work.
I do hope he has some of these prints left after AA for those of us who can't go!

We can but trust in his own words - "There will be plenty of copies held back for those not able to attend AutoAssembly. Each print will be signed and numbered." Which I do hope prove to be true.

The above poster would not have been done if not for me - I showed Andrew the original at AA last year. I have not got Andrew to sign it yet. I talked to Andrew about it'll be cool if he re did this image. Andrew stated he doesn't have a copy of it, the original was lost ? So I scanned it in for Andrew & Andrew did a good job of lining everything up & posted on facebook then decided to redo it with Jason on colours. I'm getting a copy & framing it for my son James & also seeing about framing the original one too.

Does anyone want Jeff Anderson to redraw his poster from #310? I don't think it'll work twice. You know the inside cover for annual 6. The one with the 3 micromasters never featured in the comics & I can never rememeber the names off.

Given 0 and 1 are reserved for charity auctions I'd say that was exceptional work! I'm waiting on the online order going up, but I have joined the patreon.

Mine was 58 and I'm hoping it wasnt damaged on the way home.
Thanks for the scan of the original Pete, I didnt realise the new one was quite as similar as it is, for some reason I thought it wwas a more radical reinvention or some such.
Also it shows how the little tweaks really improve the image.

There will be. He posted on his blog the other day that he's currently in the middle of moving house and is delayed even in meeting his top level Patreon commitments in sending out sketches. The next step for the big print is 0 and 1 going on ebay for charity, which hasn't happened, then he said he'd notify his Patreon subscribers when the rest of the prints go on sale online. I'll post here when the online orders go up so it doesn't slip through the net.

Oh! right. I should be looking at his Facebook, not the Patreon page... or the blog... or his website... or Twitter... or...
I think he needs to streamline his internet presence a bit. Anyway, the new print isn't in his store yet. So that is still to come.
