t.co/PzNLflb6nkMy life that's poorly designed! Several questions don't relate to the answers! But I filled it in anyway and gave them both barrels over the missed toys.

And, as young Mr. Roberts suggests, we should also tell them that we want more MTMTE-based toys. They won't have a clue what we're talking about (they'll probably get confused when we start talking about "Transformers"...), but worth a shot. Maybe.

Where's this come from then? Is there an introduction/rationale anywhere?

The link's been passed round Twitter. I believe there was a Hasbro rep at AA this last weekend that might have been told & seen a few things there which opened his eyes!
The 3P, importing and missing toys questions especially say they're worried about those areas.

Well MTMTE features in a list of comics in the survey so they at least have a vague idea what it is.

Chuffing heck this is in depth! I'm only up to 58% and it wants to know my all time top five figures! what!? Hard questions man!

That's a big terrifying question. So big I've not asked it on top 5 Tf toys. Yet.

Oh gods. Why did they have to ask *that*?!? I've now finished it. And bloody hell, was that hard. But fascinating - they clearly *are* in touch with what's going on.

I suppose in reality questions like top fives don't really matter, but it's so nice that someone at Hasbro wants to listen to us for once it seems only right to provide the right answers.
These questions to me feel like some fans were involved in writing it. Not just the wording, but there must have been a pre questionnaire that had 'what do fans want to be asked?' In it.
Seems odd though. What power do Hasbro UK have to act on any of this?

This is potential a way for them to get some power if they can wave the results to prove there is an active and sufficient fanbase here.

"I agree for Hasbro to use my personal information to contact me about other research projects in the future."
I'm not entirely happy about having to tick this just to start the survey. There better be an opt-out in the first email they send my way.
"How much have you spent on 3rd party figures in total since you started collecting?"
It only accepts numbers so I can't just write "I dread to think".

I think I'm right in saying it doesn't actually ask you for an email address anyway. Which I was miffed by as I'd have liked someone to contact me to ask more questions!

They've got my email address: I contacted customer services to tell them how poor I thought the survey setup was!

This is potential a way for them to get some power if they can wave the results to prove there is an active and sufficient fanbase here. That sounds like a sensible reason for it. I can't see how answers to half those questions are any help to Hasbro UK alone, but if it's to show to Hasbro US to argue for better service/consideration then that's cool. If anything they could at least try a European online shop to sell the waves high street retailers don't want. Wave 2 could have been a Hasbro website exclusive for example, and if they'd told us that early enough, say through an official euro fan club newsletter, I wouldn't have gone to an importer to buy them. Then if they could swing it with funpub to bulk import the TFCC figures at a sensible price... Over a thousand people had filled that questionnaire in when I submitted mine half an hour ago. There's a market they're ignoring here they could deal with direct.

Lot of 3P questions. Hope they're not using that to track which ones they need to go after.

Those of us at the show had to put down our email addresses for them to send the survey to us.

I wonder how many US fans are mucking this up, either intentionally knowing it's for you guys, or unintentionally by not paying attention?

The problem I had with it was when you can only enter numbers it wouldn't accept ranges. I cant specify how much ive spent I don't keep track as it would just reduce me to tears!

I estimated my Hasbro spend at 1k a year, I think that was grossly under-estimated.

This is the first year I've kept a proper purchase/expenditure list. But I don't think I dare actually add it up.

This is a rare year when I'm fine putting in what I spent (and happy knowing it is vastly outweighed by the takings from selling off a lot of stuff).
I largely tended towards the positive here, the biggest complaint being how international-unfriendly the "international" Official Transformers Collector's Club is, in terms of pricing and also competence. An official European club with its own exclusives would be a fine thing in my book, but just making the "international" one more accessible would be a start.
The toy wants I put in were reissues of Overlord and at least some Dinobots, and I expressed some support for more Headmaster / Targetmaster Generations releases along the lines of Brainstorm and Scoop.
This survey helped me realise that generally, I feel fairly happy as a fan this year!
