We’ve finally reached breaking point lads! I need to empty my storage unit on Saturday, all the stuff needs to come back to the new house, I will not be getting another storage unit.
I have boxes galore, outside of G1, I have from universe/henkei and onwards taking up too much space.
How do I convince myself to start trashing boxes?

The way I did it was to start with a defined sub-set so it didn't feel too big a thing, then do all of that sub-set. I did retail Siege boxes first. Kept any exclusives, ditched the rest. Having done that I felt I'd only got rid of stuff that wasn't of any real value anyway. When I slowly started keeping them again it was much easier to get rid of Earthrise in the same way, and now Kingdom retail boxes go straight out and I'm not really missing them. Possibly because without inserts, once a Kingdom toy is out it can't go back in the box anyway without rattling around. It was very hard to start with though.

Swap wives with me, and then Mrs Shocks will kick the shit out of you until you have less stuff.(I'm joking, she's a warm loving woman. ....no, no she's not....) Seriously; consider what your collection is. It's figures. Action Figures. For display and play. You may eventually move on some of the expensive esoteric stuff, but the 'normal' stuff don't need their boxes to be moved on. Get rid. Cleanse. Just keep the very high-end boxes. |

There has been a rearrangement in the library of J's home ed stuff which has been thinned down freeing 3 shelves which now (once again) hold SIX boxes of TFs

2 more boxes on the ASDA order today which now contain my Kingdom & Legacy Beasts and my SS86 & Kingdom Movie figures.
Both are nearly full already but it's tidied my desk a little and will make show & tell this coming weekend a little easier.

Now that yesterday's "I might just switch that display over to another team" has become a full blown toy sort involving a trip to Tesco for more under-bed storage boxes to house Kingdom and Legacy I find myself confronted with the greatest of all problems. Studio Series 86 packaging does not fit in its storage box any more! It teeters on the edge of being recycled but I can't force myself to do it! It does not fit! it cannot stay! but I can't throw it!
Also, I need to open the three Dinobots to store them more effectively but I said I wasn't doing that until we know for sure all five are coming. NNNNNGNGnGHGHHGHGHHGHH!!
STORAGE SUCKS.

My problem is Masterpiece boxes. I was all geared up to bin them, but now I'm wondering if I want to keep most of the MP's, and if not, then is the box going to help with resale? If I donate to the Fu, would they want the boxes?

Hmm. That would save one large box space and a lot of it is torn or creased in some way. I think I need to be brave and do that with Masterverse too.
I think Grayskull needs to keep its box though because it just needs something to go in.
