I thought for a minute there that Karl was offering to make Shockprowl famous.
Inform the BBC. If we can get the next series of Ambulance filmed in the Ambulance Admiral's gaff we're in with a chance. Imagine Shockprowl being narrated by the Cakebastard!

Which originally starred Shia Labeouf, but they had to recast his character when it turned out he just couldn't do the siren noise properly.

There is a series called 'Ambulance'? -Ralph Fly on the wall BBC doc series following ambulance crews on shift in big northern cities. Narrated by Eccleston. Back when Shockers was in the front line I hoped the series would visit his patch.

And isn't Shockprowl still on the front line now? Just from his Command Centre?? We're meant to be bigging him up!

Anyway..... CDs still in crates. Need to work up the enthusiasm to sort them. It doesn't help that the larger box, which needs the most work, is at the bottom of the pile Crates now sorted. CDs now in correct cases with cases reassembled, though I think some cases may need replacement. CDs in order by series and chronological order within.

Forgot to update, CDs safely back on shelf.
Today we had to lay a new power cable in Jonathan's study/my library which meant moving some items out the way to route the cable. Since they were items earmarked to move I thought best do that job while we're at it.
This is a choice my body now regrets. BIG TIME.
I need to some more book re-arranging but that may have to wait till I have some experienced help at hand. Fortunately I have a Librarian staying tomorrow!
September's events in the Ayres family, or rather wider family, may have triggered a much larger storage rearrangement down the line. More when it becomes more certain, but assistance from the Chums may well be required

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on where to purchase some (preferably reasonably cheap) bookshelves or tall and sturdy shelving on which to display my collection of TF Figures. Currently, I have a very sturdy wooden bookcase, around 5ft high, 2ft wide and divided into 4 equally spaced shelves - each around 5 to 6 inches in depth - and am rapidly running out of space. It was bought for me several years ago, so I have no idea where it came from to be able to purchase another one. Just looking for ideas from everyone as to where and how they display/store their collections. I especially need pointers for UK-Based sellers if possible, as I can't afford to ship in from abroad. Thanks in advance guys

I find Really Useful Boxes good to put toys I don't have space for on shelves.
Most packaging goes straight to recycling: don't have the space for it. This also significantly reduces the dust build-up.
I have some Ikea units up and a couple of ye olde bookcases.

Ah I see we all still have space issues. Managed to flatten all US boxes from the last 20 years during the last move except for "good" ones, so currently now have ~10 storage boxes full of cardboard that I am mentally prepared to chuck in the bin. Unfortunately my boxed G1 collection is now umm.. large... And I haven't yet ditched any MP / 3P boxes. I am going to have a purge of CHUG pre-WFC this year so that will see the henkei boxes also leave the nest.

Just done my second loft trip this week - we identified a problem with me getting onto the ladder and remedying that has made me more steady at the start of the climb. Even so it's not something I'll be doing regularly. Those who've been up there will be astonished at how much floor is visible. Well done Phil. That is a good weeks work done there. Whilst others are unpackaging I have been packaging - more bubblewrap has entered my house this week than it has seen all year - and it has mostly been used to wrap fifty-something of 70 toys headed in the Toy-Fu direction. Apologies, 71. I found another Core class which needs to go and give joy to a new owner last night whilst looking for an elusive, pale pastel pink Cyberverse Arcee sidearm which seems to be surprisingly obscurely hidden somewhere in my home. I have also acquirred this evening an 84 liter capacity Really Useful Box. Dang thing is the size of a footlocker! Pretty sure you could get a Fallout characters entire carryweight in stuff in one of these! It should do nicely to contain the non-plamodel robots and mecha that are not on display. It is going to have to, because that is going to be what happens - the Transformers, Robotech, Macross and Mospeada stuff that isn't on display is going to be stored in this box. That which cannot fit into either the category of “on-display” or “in The Box” shall find that it's days are numbered! Karl Really Useful Boxes make excellent products. -Ralph

Really Useful Boxes make excellent products. -Ralph They do indeed, I am in the process of rationalising all the stuff in The Cupboard, and in the long run I will be transitioning all the plastic boxes to Really Useful ones. Karl

Been unstacking and re-stacking The Cupboard this evening. In the process I realised that I still have the box for Legacy Black Zarak in there. As I've decided that Black Zarak is actually staying, it is a bit pointless having an empty box for him taking up valuable space in one of the few storage spaces in the flat.
Ergo, I have fished it out to be flattened and recycled. I think that should be the only remaining TF packaging which doesn't have the TF's inside successfully disposed of.

Thing I like about Really Useful boxes is that the corners inside are square. You can pack and organise properly in them. The kind of plastic tubs you get in supermarkets never have that.

My sacred 332 are in A4 Really Useful boxes come to think about it. I think my 2000AD collection would be too, but there isn't a size that neatly fits the original shape of the comic.
