Shockeroonie. If these two do well, G2 will follow. Probably. I mean they've reissued Sideswipe twice and he's been available in black, white and yellow from various sources and they still didn't do him in G2 colours, but... you never know.

First pictures of MP-12I think I'll wait for the cheaper Hasbro version (if there is one) myself. Also, MP-14 is Red Alert and not 12A as some online stores originally stated. Is it safe to assume that MP-15 may turn out to be Soundblaster...? Why are they listing Redalert as MP14? Is it due to classing as different mode with the lights on - where as Starscream just gets repainted & nothing extra on the model changed - so Sunstrom being MP11A. But they must be doing a repaint of MP12? RID Prowl should get repaint of MP14 then.

Re: the numbering, this was posted over at tfw:
So Sunstorm being a limited edition exclusive would explain his 11A designation...

Sideswipe is being reissued later this year, so if you can hang on a bit you can be reasonably sure to get the real deal: Has there been any word on Red Alert getting a second run too? He wasn't knocked off, online stores that I know of are all out and his eBay price is getting silly. -Nick

Not that I've heard, but I'm keeping an ear to the ground for it. Looks good in those colours.

There is a Red Alert KO, they're on ebay for around £30. There's also a Tigertrack KO doing the rounds.

Eh? Since when is Red Alert grey in the cartoon? and if that's anime colour, why has his fuzzy head bit gone orange?
Intrigued by the notion there is a new 'plus' line coming with anime accurate colours. I thought they pretty much were anime already, which is what we all moan about. Which figures are they going to redo?

ALL OF THEM. Including a Rebirth-accurate MP-10, with a white mohawk for no particular reason! Even though Rebirth isn't a thing in Japan!

A Rebirth accurate MP-10.
I would buy that.

I like how Optimus blatantly does not care for Red Alerts nonsense in those pictures.

Maybe testing the waters? If there's enough interest they'll re-issue all of the previous molds with accurate, subdued and uninteresting paint jobs..?

For years, fans screamed they wanted the toys to look like the cartoon characters. Now toys are being made that look like the cartoon characters.

All this is is Takara reissuing Red Alert because of the shelf accessory coming with Inferno that means he can hold him. Rather than doing a straight rerelease they've just tweaked the colour to bring it in line with the recent trend toward extreme Sunbow accuracy.

Okay, that actually makes more sense.
And I should just add that I've never had any interest in more Sunbow-accurate toys. Now, if they were to release more Dan Reed-accurate Masterpieces, well...

Mind you, all that said, I don't see why he is *so* grey, even in the cartoon. He's an emergency rescue vehicle, surely he should be white like the toy? The grey does nothing for him. Red Alert - Slightly Faded edition.
