The Entertainer have got a "Buy one get one for a penny" sale on. www.thetoyshop.com/c/penny-saleLots of TF products involved which has wiped the Generations Voyagers out on the site but you might have better luck in store. I rarely check the Edinburger store as the day in which I am usually more free for browsing is a Sunday and they close on a Sunday. In 2015. -Ralph

Don't get why these days the Entertainer don't open on Sundays. Means I've never been in one! It's pretty annoying right?!

I'd have agreed with that until fairly recently. But life is such these days that you have to make it special where you can, and that isn't necessarily a Sunday anymore.
In fact I'd argue a trip to a toyshop would make Sunday special!

The Entertainer boss was on tv last month & stated people should be going to church & not shopping so thats why they don't open sundays. But toy stores are only open 11-4.

I'm not a religious man, but I've long been quietly supportive of this. I don't see why we need to be able to Get Stuff 24/7 (well, I do know why, but I don't think it's good). I frequently find myself in Berlin for work these days, and the relative quiet on Sundays (not everything is closed, but a lot is) is something I appreciate.

I'm not against Sunday opening, for many I have no doubt its convienient, but I'd also be quite happy if it went away and certainly dont want it expanding.
Supermarkets are now open 24 hours a day monday through Saturday so even if people work those days theres time to shop before or after.

Time, yes, but energy? Not always.
I dunno. I think that as people we need a day to just not do anything, take stock and unwind, focus on ourselves. And I think that that is missing from a lot of folks lives. But should it be institutionally mandated? That makes me uncomfortable. But so does the thought that we're not mature enough as a society to recognise that and act on it ourselves.

I don't understand why shops are open 9-5 during the week and then shut the moment most people get off work. Who are these people spending all the cash on Monday-Friday. You'd think the weekend would be prime opening time.
For me, it's annoying to have shops not open on weekends, as the weekend is precious to me, and if I can only go shopping on Saturday then it rules how I spend my weekend.

Shops that don't open on a Sunday when I am out shopping don't get my business as that is the one day I have time for proper browsing so I spend my pennies elsewhere. It's not an issue I hugely care about though or devote much thought to.

Anyone who who says it is inconvenient for them personally and therefore they should open is a little bit on the too entitled side of things for my liking. As people have said it should be a healthy thing for our society to recognise a bit of space is a good thing sometimes (whether that is on a particular day or not).

But if you order online from them you don't get your stuff on a sunday. I don't think any shop has used that statement.
