I was flicking through my old Marvel Transformers comics the other day and found something rather interesting in issue 279. On page 17 there is a competition to win the Micromaster combiner Battlefield Headquarters. In the promotional photo of the Headquarters there are two unreleased Micromasters re-colours standing on the truck. One is the Tailwind/Hot House mould in yellow and red and the other is Motorhead from the Race Track Patrol in green and black with silver car windows. I tried to scan the picture to show people who don't own the comic but my scanner is royally knackered. Can anybody help out?
It looks like the photo shows the actual colours of the Micromasters and isn’t just a printing error as the Battlefield Headquarters and the two micros that came with it are in their normal colours. That leaves the question what were they? They could have been old test shots for Motorhead and Tailwind/Hot House that were just lying about when Hasbro took the publicity shot that were used to make the truck look busy, or perhaps they were new decos created to be used in new recoloured Patrols or as base commanders that were never released for whatever reason. There also appears to be a yellow Roadhandler sitting in the truck cab alongside a regularly coloured Slide from the Metro Squad, though you can only really see their arms and only make them out properly with a magnifying glass.

My copy is in the cupboard of doom and I lack a scanner so I can't help but welcome to the Hub!

I too am lacking a scanner, but see the micros you mention. The competition for Pretenders in #163 also has an amusing picture with a mistransformed Landmine standing back-to-front.
