Ooops. Attemted to install Vista on a new SSD in my desktop. Realised half way through disks were XP instead of vista.
No problem thinks I, I'll restart off the existing HDD, wipe the SSD and start again.
Now, despite not having touched it, the HDD won't boot even when I disconnect the SSD.
Anyone got any ideas how to get the Vista HDD going again? It's selected as the boot device?
(interestingly the SSD won't boot either to complete the XP install!)

Kids: if you're installing a new O/S on another drive, remember to disconnect your main HDD/SSD first!

Indeed.
Back in the game now thanks to an unwanted Win 7 DVD :-)
A little bother installing office, but that was a known fault when I googled the error, then lots of p***ing around trying to set Thunderbird up right. Still need to right a load of mail rules for it but need some more mail to test them on first.

Also, my sympathies on having to do the twiddly bits to set up Thunderbird again. I remember that not being a process I really enjoyed the last time I did it. (A while ago now I admit) Karl

But the way to make Thunderbird work is merely to call the Tracey brothers!
