Where was Nick when all this was going on? WHERE? Using his Sun Powers to make sure it didn't get worse.

Safely home in Swindon. Following Sunday's shenanigans, I ran today's trip unadvertised and under radio silence until I was successfully away from Reading. Only real "problem" was my outbound from Richmond was delayed but that was good as I missed it's scheduled departure by 2 minutes! I've seen it worse on normal Fridays, though there were a greater number of civilians with large suit cases today than I'd normally see. I went today because I imagine tomorrow will be hell on earth on the railway, which I will be monitoring from the safety of my desk! Meanwhile.... Some folk have been put on trains due to Gatwick being borked so that may explain it.

So, festive season and of course no extra carriages for Fife during this busy time.
Assholes.

Phil is once again taking one for the team this morning. A thinned out service at Swindon meant the train I really wanted wasn't running. A "vulnerable passenger" at Wokingham has caused the emergency services to intervene and I'm currently half an hour down on Train II. And it's a strike day on SWR.
Not a day to forget the MP3 player!

Oops. Train now fast to Clapham. Phil unable to leave train at Wokingham which was it's last stop. Have tweeted SWR_help to ask them to send me the guard to assist!

It is the Chaos Bringer's birthday today and yet forum chums are foolishly travelling.
Will Phil make it to Pig Hill? Will Burns make it to the Pool of Black? Will M make it to the Pool of Black?
I should be fine. Despite Nick conjuring up a snowpocalypse which has crippled the country there are no disruptions on my route!

Train 1 has hit two sets of signalling problems, I will miss my connection and am 37 minutes late so far. Just as well I set off early!

Phil is safely home. OK yes, I did get on a number 5 bus going the wrong way round Swindon purely to get myself warm and safe and we will not be speaking in public of what happened between bus stop and house and we will be frowning deeply on people who do repeat it elsewhere. There are people who worry and they do not need to here quite how I did the last leg of the journey.

I am entering cryogenic freezing on this shitty train and trying to stay away from Psycho Guy and Mad Cackling Woman.
No more travelling on Nick's birthday!

To be fair Flowery Field to Picadilly is not an 'extra' train but the normal train to Picadilly.
Glad you reached the launchpad safe and sound.
Unlike last night. You villainous villain.

It's not my fault the team died just one move away from escaping the Forbidden Desert. -Ralph Next time warn us and we'll tell you not to do the Oxford Road leg. It's a nonsense the ticket booking system does on the rare occassions Victoria takes you north. Far quicker to just walk from Picadilly to Victoria or get the tram from Picadilly to Victoria. I now dread to ask at what point you went to the Lego Store..?

6.5 hours on trains today. First journey was painless. I even had a nap.
I had thought I had escaped Travel Chaos today until I just found out all of the on-board loos on this train are out of order. This would be the Manchester to Edinburger train so not a short hop.

Will Burns ever make it to Scotlandland? We had passengers chucking bottles at other passengers at the departure station, a lost conductor and major disruption at Preston.
Losing the will to live on the train of the damned.
