Ralph, were you affected by any power cuts this evening?

There were no power cuts up here. Contrary to the headlines on some newspapers this morning not all of Britain ground to a halt because London and the South-East lost power.

Very stressful day today. Trying to get cross country for physio but hitting multiple delays that means I might miss it for another month.

Now the housing is sorted, perhaps it's time to look for a physio in MChester, so you can save yourself this bother, stress and travel expense every month?
Maybe ask your Burger physio if they can recommend anyone?

Now the housing is sorted, perhaps it's time to look for a physio in MChester, so you can save yourself this bother, stress and travel expense every month? I can't. Specialist service which very few places offer so I have to travel. No choice about it. The travel doesn't bother me and I budget for the expense as health more important than anything else. Just bad weather today. Nowt can be done. -Ralph

The train line to Scotland is blocked due to flooding so not going anywhere. Nothing can go north today. Waiting to be towed back to Carlisle.

The journey to Edinburger for a physio appt did not pan out. Should have got in at 11:38 and left at 16:11. Even allowing for delays this would have had plenty of leeway to get the appt done and have lunch.
In the end there was a 13 minute window to get off at platform 11 at Edinburger, walk round corner to WH Smiths to get food and reading material (I finished book on way up) then back on to the same train at platform 11 to go back where I came from. Perhaps. It is also running late but by this point ppfffffttt. Was on it before from 08:26 to 15:58.

Well that was an awful day. I badly needed some treatment which I now can't get until the 26th so TF Nation is now looking a bit iffy. Nowt could be done. If there's a flood there's a flood.

Today I was in a tram that was hit by a brick.
Meanwhile, one of our number is having some difficulty returning from TF Nation.

My travels to and from Manchester this week have been disrupted by works on a London track meaning there was only one line out of that city, and then a cow on the track coming back. Stuck for an hour and change in Chesterfield.

Hour 5 and no idea if I will get back to Manchester Picadilly in time for the last tram home. Usually I would have got there in under 2 hours. No one's fault as the line was flooded but I am rather frazzled and knackered.

Get a bus or taxi home as instructed by txt when you make it back. Do not sit at a freezing cold station all night.
