Anyone else caught this yet?
I thought it was a rather impressive start. Felt just like the movies even if some of the CG made me miss the character that the stop motion had in the films.
It did also make me realise that Bruce Campbell has basically been playing Ash in every public and screen appearance for 35 years. Somehow I never noticed that before.

I've only watch part of 1 & 2 - & seen him in the Spider-man films. But... Evil Dead 3 is the one that's really good! (The non-director cut version at least. One of those rare instances where the directors cut misses the point more than the mass-release version)

Very good start to the series. Love that there's so many practical effects, with CG being mainly used for little things. I'll definitely be watching the next episode. On the subject of Army of Darkness, I favour the directors cut although I can't off-hand recall what the differences are between versions - well apart from the obvious change of ending. Both endings are good though, with the S-Mart one being a better one to spin a continuation off from. I see the film has recently had a Blu-Ray releaes in North America containing 4 versions (Theatrical, Director's Cut, International and TV) and a load of extras. Looks to be region locked though and apparently there's an audio error on one version - although there is a disc replacement program in place.

I've not seen it yet.
Hoping it will get a UK tv release.

Watched it last night. Loved the different tones of the two story arcs. Very promising start, I just kept wanting it to keep going, glad it's a full series.

This series is a mixed bag. Not enough slap stick for Evil Dead, in fact the humour in general is sparse with only a couple of laughs an episode, practical effects well done, cgi not well done, some decent scares and fights, overall story arc seems good and in recent episodes has taken a decent turn. But a welcome return of Ash's possessed hand, hurrah!

Watched the series and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Awaiting Series 2 to hit iTunes and I will snag it.

Evil Dead Rise
I am assuming an Ash cameo somewhere.
