I've been playing this almost non-stop for like a week now. I even managed to join a league for the latest event so got myself a free Brawl.

I think Brawl has been given out to everyone because of the issues lots of people were having during the last event. So check your character screen!

There seem to be two threads for this game, but this is the most recent. I've been having a play last few nights and am enjoying it although the tactics don't seem very tactical.
But the tutorial didn't enlighten me much - what's the deal with the numbers under the characters? What are they for? And apart from having a character with a blue one, how do you improve your chances of getting the first strike?

I also seen to be stuck at the top of the recruit 1 level. The bar is full, but winning fights doesn't promote me to recruit 2, so what haven't I done?
