I'm not sure how much I'd want a corporate-sponsored convention, especially if it steamrolls the fan ones. They tend to be quite soulless and expensive. But we'll see!! |

as long as it didnt get to the big comic-con style churn out the customers it'd be ok, maybe thats why they sent that dude to AUto Assembly?

They might not be planning anything, it might just be a precautionary securing of the trademark. Happens all the time. (Actually, I think I'd be more concerned if they had the eye so far off the ball that they weren't making preemptive registrations).
Besides, If Hasbro did do a convention there are only two possibilities, either it will be enjoyable or it won't, leading to one of two two outcomes, you decide not to go again or you'll decide to go again. *shrug* Either way it seems too early to make much in the way of a call as to what this means.
