Interesting their regular price for Ginrai is a tenner more than Soundwave too, which is in line with TFE having a ten pound difference. I know these sites adjust prices to cater for popularity, which is why Voyager TR Galvatron is more than Sentinel Prime for example, but this just strikes me as odd. I've lost track, have we seen the Yen prices for these?

Well, Ginrai also has a fair amount of newtooling that needs to be paid for. Soundwave's tooling was factored into the original cost, probably.

I don't think so. We're still at silhouette stage for the final toy.
I think the God Bomber potential is a big pull for Ginrai. Leader size Prime plus platform shoes? They've got to do it.

My 'fun money' pot each month is not large enough to throw away money on something when the full product details are available. Paying for a Ginrai would require planned budgeting.

A wise strategy - these days I lean towards wanting to see either plenty of high-quality imagery intelligence of something, or to examine it in person before I spring for it. That goes double for high-price point stuff and for imports. Better to shrug and either have to hang on for a bit, or go without, if I missed a pre-order window than to spring for something sight unseen and then discover I don't like it.

Yes, generally my opinion these days is that if a company wants to me to order their product I want to see the actual details of that product before handing over cash. If that means details are not provided until after an order window has closed then I just buy something else instead. Toys are very much a luxury purchase when I can afford it.
