Size comparison. God Bomber is a big lad!

He should be for the price. That was what made me think he was unlikely to be in the boxed set with Magnus Prime. He's as big as a leader but much less complex, which kind of puts him in his own class. Like an upscaled Deluxe.

So is the Prime in the TR box the Takara Ginrai minus Godbomber? I'm terribly confused! And is the box Prime the same deco?

The one in the TR box appears to be the same as the Takara version, but possibly with a slightly better paint deco as it has silvery bits the Takara one doesn't. Godbomber is a separate release in Japan (not out yet) and hasn't been seen in anything Hasbro showed yesterday.

I think it was that the word 'Apex' was being bandied about yesterday, which made people think a Hasbro version of the Godbomber mould might be on the cards, but nothing appeared.

So if we hear ApexGodbomber will be in the boxset I'll skip TakaraGodbomber, because the silver on PMOP looks even better than Ginrai and presumably Apex will match.

I don't think it will be, well, it's not in the two boxed sets that we saw yesterday for sure as they are very neatly one figure of each size class.
The question is how Godbomber could fit into Hasbro's size classes. Takara are less rigid with those. If he does equate to a Leader in his own right then he might work, but the images we're getting suggest he is like the original - right height but much more hollow. He would need to be worth the $45 price point.

Have the boxset line ups been officially confirmed?
Unless they are being released as platinums the $150 price tag seems high for whats been shown. The G2 combiners worked out cheaper than the G1 retail versions
Leader $45 Voyager $25 Deluxe $18 Legendsish clone $12 (someone at the event has said something that, as I suggested eleswhere, these maybe half way between legends and deluxe like Godbomber or a preview of the next line.) Titan $5
$105 with tax, so either platinum level markup or somethings not been revealed.
Otherwise I'm still inclined to think theres going to be at least one more boxset for the whole Strength speed intelligence theme. Apex would then make sense, you cant release Apex on its own at retail as you say the price point doesnt work plus after putting Ginrai in a boxset it just wouldnt make sense.

Line ups are confirmed, but no prices have ever been mentioned by hasbro, or the people actually selling them.

That would make sense for the third set. a diecast titan master. Apex as the leader not the deluxe.

Excellent deductive reasoning everyone (I'm watching Sherlock at the moment). Godbomber doesn't look like a solo retail release that fits the US market, but it could fit the leader slot in a boxed set. Thing is, it relies on Ginrai to fullfil its potential so presumably it would have to come from the same exclusivity source as the other set. Who would want to sell a figure that promotes someone else's set?
So. BBTS have two boxes? Which means TRU might too, which I would suggest means Wingspan and Cloudraker will be in those.
Oooooh, the fourth quadrant was Fireblast... Surely not a Fireguts God Ginrai. Same mould twice? Nah...

Could be a different type of set with a full God Ginrai and some other fire related people.

I do wonder about Takara Tomy's PR at times.... Lots of pics of this recently, but there's a mainline Legends release out before it that's had no pictures for months!

The targetmasters? I been thinking about that, and wondering if they went dark at hasbro's request as hasbro felt a large number of of us would skip their release for Takara's?
Or, most probably it took this long to get the targetmaster molds ready to show. Or maybe a combination of the two?

Nice. They're still hiding the fact his forearms have no back well. He is a biggun too. Right proportions to the original.

Blimey, he comes all the way up to Fort Max's cobblers.
I'm really looking forward to having this sat in a box for years and never getting round to actually opening it.
*Looks at Ginrai*
