Auto Assembly may have called time on its final convention back in August with Auto Assembly 2015 but contrary to what some may have heard, that certainly hasn't marked the end of its involvement in Transformers...
Since it's parent organisation, Infinite Frontiers, was formed in 1989 we have always been active in science fiction fandom. We've run various fan clubs, conventions, podcasts, events, websites and been publishing fanzines - both digital and paper - since 1989 and as part of our long-term plans for Auto Assembly we're going back to our roots.
Those who have joined us at Auto Assembly over the years will be familiar with The Cybertronian Times. The fanzine has been given away to attendees at the convention each year but it's now being taken in a new direction. Instead of a once-a-year publication, from today The Cybertronian Times is going 100% digital as a FREE download. Available as a DRM-free PDF, the magazine can be downloaded directly from the Auto Assembly website and will be released quarterly.
Issue 17 is a 52 page mag containing toy reviews, fiction, artwork, comic strips (including an 11 page Frenzy story) and an exclusive 5 page preview of the upcoming Bruce Outback comic from former IDW colourist Kris Carter and his cohorts Jim Bampfield, Dan Harris and Kirsty Winskill.
The fanzine can be downloaded directly from the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk/Fanzines/TheCybertronianTimesIssue17DigitalEdition.pdf but for those of you looking for more reading material, we're also releasing all of our back issues of The Cybertronian Times digitally and these - and all future issues - will also be available on the website from our downloads page at www.autoassembly.org.uk/the-cybertronian-times-downloads/
If that's not enough for you, you can sign up to our free mailing list at eepurl.com/bxABtD and not only will we send you the latest issue of The Cybertronian Times as soon as it is released before anyone else but we'll also be running subscriber exclusive competitions, special offers and more!
If you want to get involved with The Cybertronian Times, we'd love to hear what you think about the new look mag - both for the letters page and your comments generally - so feel free to drop us an email or pop over to our forum. If any of you want to write for the magazine or feel the urge to let your creative side out and be involved, again we'd love to hear from you as well so please get in touch!
We also have a regular series, "My Favourite..." where we want readers to talk about their favourite characters, toys, shows, comic stories, TV episodes - absolutely anything to do with Transformers and this is open to anyone to get involved so we'd love to see some of your thoughts for this!
