I know what you mean. I'll tend to prioritise getting away for a weekend/going to events over toys for the most part.

You can add the wee Titans Return Apeface to my tally, but I don't see myself buying anymore TF's this year. Money is just too tight for everything and so they are the thing getting dropped. For myself, they rarely are value for money anymore, and with live music, festivals and conventions to try and stretch to, I can live without most of the mass retail stuff. Im fortunate that the money I earn allows me to indulge myself a lot with it, I'd be surprised if I've spent less than £600 a month on toys and collectibles every month for the last 17 months since I started and very often it's close to £1000, but found out 2 weeks ago that there's another Baby Bazza due in February so I'm in the position where I'm needing to prioritise. TR has been a lot of fun so I'll continue with every bit of that until the line is done and I'll pick & choose MP and Platinum lines but it probably kills the retro lines that I've been working my way through.

I've found myself in much the same position. Having had various combinations of too much/too little free time, and not a great deal of funds over the last few years I have come to find that an occasional purchase of a TF here and there tends to be something I am actually getting more out of than I did when I purchased whole waves of them. With the rise in prices, and the fall in my income (which likely won't improve because wherever I end up going my cost of living will likely rise) I find that toys have slipped down the agenda for me. I do still buy, and likely will continue to do so, but I find myself being much more targeted in what I buy, and measuring the percieved value to me a lot more thoroughly. It's why of the Titans Returns line my remaining purchases are likely to be Titanmasters (should I ever see any on shelves), because the price/fun value of them is quite favourable. But as things stand I'm likely not to end up with more than one or two of the deluxes, and there is only one larger toy I am considering from that line at the moment. Still might pick up one or two RiD deluxes, but only if things like nose-truck show up in sales at some point. Karl

Maybe less actually. 6 TR deluxes, Wheelie and TR Powermaster Prime. All bought in sales or with discount vouchers etc. And one more that I gifted Ralph. Again, same here. Only bought TFs in the last couple of months really. Probably the same amount or a tad more spent on Lego but much more on books.
Not sure if wedding planning counts as a hobby but that's where most of this year's time and energy has gone. Was well worth it. Those sausage rolls at the reception were smashing.

I was putting this off. But there's no putting it off for much longer. So here we go:
Generations Rhinox Carnivac (robot only) Generations Jetfire Legends Windblade Orcanoch Arachnid MP Red Alert (thanks to the lovely Graham) Protoform Optimus Prime (AD-09) RiD Legends Decepticon Hunter Optimus Prime and Bludgeon Combiner Wars Legends Shockwave Gobot Bumblebee Mainframe Blitz/Randsack ERECTOR Beast Machines Blast Punch Optimus Primal RiD Legends Decepticon Hunter Grimlock and Decepticon Back Classics Ironhide Hoist Action Master Snarl Combiner Wars Legends Wreck-Gar RiD Blizzard Strike Optimus Prime Combiner Wars Wheeljack Unite Warriors Grand Galvatron QT Snoopy GDO Optimus Prime GDO Starscream Combiner Wars Legends Viper Combiner Wars Silverbolt Legends EX Rattrap Combiner Wars Sky Lynx Titans Return Rewind Titans Return Nightbeat Titans Return Crashbash Legends Skids Titans Return Clobber Titans Return Brawn Titans Return Apeface Xiaomi Soundwave Hasbro Masterpiece Starscream Generations Jazz Generations Seaspray General Optimus Prime Fortress Maximus LG Blurr LG Scourge Titans Return Galvatron Combiner Wars Legends Warpath Platinum Trypticon Titans Return Skullcruncher Kreo Microchanger Superion Kreo Microchanger Predaking Kreo Microchanger Devastator Kreo Microchanger Bruticus Titans Return Powermaster Optimus Prime Titans Return Alpha Trion Titans Return Titan Force Sentinel Prime Titans Return Titan Force Windblade nuRiD Power Surge Optimus Prime Titans Return Chromedome Titans Return Weirdwolf Titans Return Highbrow Titans Return Blaster Masterpiece Optimus Primal Titans Return Mindwipe Masterpiece Tracks nuRiD Warrior Class Starscream Titans Return Voyager Optimus Prime Titans Return Voyager Megatron Titans Return Hot Rod
Which brings the total to 69. Dude! More than one a week. But I've also paid for, but not yet received 'cos I'm not in Glasgow to receive them or they're still in transit, Super Ginrai and Combobat. So if you count those I'm at 71.
However, as before, if you count the individual figures there's more. Because we'd have: From Orcanoch - Optimus Primal, Tarantulus From Arachnid - Megatron, Razorbeast The two minicons from the RiD Decepticon Hunters From Snarl - Tyrannitron From Grand Galvatron - Cyclonus, Ghost Starscream, Thrust, Roller, Breakdown And each of the Kreon Microchangers is four figures.
Which makes it... 92 individual robots, if you count the ones I've actually taken hold of.
And if you include the two above that are in transit, we get an extra Megatron. Which makes it 95.
Oh dear.

And how much was all that? Oh. It... cost... some... money. I don't keep track of things like that. I really don't want to. But given I spent about £600 at TFN on Max, Pandinus and other things... easily over £1000, I'd guess. And yes, of course, I didn't list the 3Ps above. But I am including them in my mental tally of spendages... I also edited the above list to include yesterday's three purchases. Which cost £44(ish) all together.

I haven't kept a list for last year, I may try putting one together, im not sure I want to know the total cost, but taking the hobby as a whole would include Botcon, Rorc and Tfn so quite a bit.
though in fairness I won the trip to botcon and toyfu was the main reason for going to rorc. in terms of toys my spending stayed pretty low till i ordered (full price *sobs*) sdcc max and 3 pack. Things escalated quickly after that.

I did have to stop myself buying either cw star scream or skywarp today which my ocd side felt was an appropriate end to a year that started with £10 generations jetfire. The only way that is justifiable is if you picked up the TK Maxx Thundercracker. If not it will be an eternally incomplete set. Staggeringly the £30 Thundercracker in my TK Maxx got sold!!

I already have Thundercracker (possibly 2) for Actionmasterfication (one day). If I had also already had Starscream or Skywarp theres no way I could have resisted buying the other today.

I think the only thing I've regretted buying are some of the Titans Return figures at full price, given they were everywhere at discount all December (booooooo) and Combiner Wars Prowl, as he's still in his plastic prison a month later. It was the middle of a drought and I went a bit mad
