What's there to say? When they get things right, they get things right. Chop Shop is a little boring because the body is so similar, but then again the original design looks like a lousy variation of G1 Shrapnel with a great head. The head on CW Chopshop is not as great as the G1 but the smaller size did not allow for thin antenas with balls on top. Still a solid color scheme, and a good idea. I wonder if they will do Kickback...and the other deluxe Insecticons...this scale is really suited to them... As for Shockwave, he is really fantastic as everyone can see from all of his pictures. But his size is sort of a demotion. It is like Browning from Masterforce...he no longer has any imposing predispositions and it is hard to concieve of him as a military commander. I wonder how this will go in IDW...he supposedly builds Bruticus...last we saw the Combaticons were gathered sans rip Swindle...but hopefuy Shockers will rebuild him... These are very nice.

I'm pretty sure Kickback is off the table. All new CW legend molds fit into the CW gimmick of combining with a combiner, somehow. The only legends that didn't fit that gimmick were repaints of earlier molds. Or in the case of Buzzsaw, being a TR gimmicked toy.
It seems this trend looks likely to continue, with the only legends that don't play off whatever gimmick they utilize in TR, will likely be repaints of older molds.
It really kinda irritates me they chose a wrong sized Shockwave, over Kickback.
That said, I want Chopshop if I ever find him. Too bad he starts an even less likely team get finished.

Chopshop DESPERATELY needed new mandibles to match the original.
I think the Legends Shockwave is a good idea: it lets the gun mode be held by other TFs and is evocative of the Action Master in size.
Expecting mine later today.

I could see Kickback being done in Titans Return. Imagine an insect mode with Titanmaster foot pegs on it apeing the original kickback having a Diaclone pilot.
I can almost see Kickback being done as a tape/insect/robot tripplechanger.....

Skrapnel, Bombshell, and Kickback: If these three were designed from the start with a second set of tooling as is common with Hasbro lately, Then they would each make a very effective Chopshop, Barrage, and Ransack. Then do the reverse for Venom, with a "basic insecticon" retooling that matches more with the basic trio as a new character, Sharpshot.

Did I mention that I have a strange affection for Buzzsaw? I find Buzzsaw strangely sensual too. That... that's what you meant, right??

I got these two, today. Really happy with Chopshop. He really needed new molding though, as pointed out. The mandibles really would have gone a long way, because it's kinda surprising how well Skrapnel repaints to not heel so Shrapnellish.
Shockwave... Kinda really boring. Too pointlessly small to be useful as the character it represents. But I decided Bruticus needed a really expensive gun, since he technically has no weapon of his own.
