Since I've been up since 15.30am with stomach troubles and a 12 hour day ahead of me I thought I'd start the Week 15 thread. I could'nt think of a theme that would be on par with Muppets, Clocks Forwarding and Rhyming so I just thought a back to basics approach for now until the little grey cells come up with an theme idea for another week --------------- What does this week have in store for Ken? This will be my first week back at Uni and I have loads to do and barely scratched the surface. It's gonna be fun... Time to lock n load! ===KEN

Lots to do this week Uni-wise, and a bit of back-and-forth as I'm housesitting for my folks until Friday.

My stress levels have gone through the fucking roof. External events fucking me over yet again that I have no control over. I swear I am going to be completely grey by the end of the year at this rate.

Today I refreshed my memory on the modes of action of a wide range of pesticide classes. Tomorrow I learn all about movement of ions in the soil and water environments. Yay.

Killing time waiting for a landlord visit. Should have been here half an hour ago. Getting pissed off as I would like to get to my folks house for houseitting duties sooner rather than later.

The day started off alright. I picked up my £20 from work for winning the Grand National Sweepstake and my £80 from the bookies for my bet on the same horse. Then it all went a bit pear-shaped. The combination of the slowness of my computer and Ebay pissed me off when I listed some items for sale and the quick sale pages accused me of not filling in my Paypal details even though they hadn't given me the option to do so. I then tried to use the advanced sell option but gave up when Ebay told me I had to download a piece of software just to upload photos onto my listing. I managed to list three items for sale each taking about 25 bleeding minutes to complete them (the fault of my computer mainly) but I gave up listing a fourth, got so pissed off and turned my computer off from the main button on the PC.

Here I am housesitting for parents. Items of note: the robot bank in the living room that talks when I walk past it and the playboy themed toiletries in the bathroom, which freak me out no end.

Heh. It could be worse.
I shall regale you with a tale of long ago (you may have heard it but several hubbers won't have).
One afternoon many years ago a collection of my friends were assembled at another friends house enjoying beer and banter and curry. The discussion somehow or other got onto pornography. The friend whose house it was said my older brother has a stash of pornography. Now the older brother was always something of an oddball so there was intrigue.
Said friend disappeared into his older brother's room and returned with a bin bag full of porn. The contents were then emptied on to the floor and we descended upon it.
My hand went sifting through the magazines and brushed against something distinctly un-magazine in texture. So I pulled it out and held aloft to the entire room ........
......................................................... A FALSE BEARD?!
Needless to say there was much laughing at this and the conjecture regarding the false beard continues to this day.

Both of these concepts fill me with no little fear......
And to think I was having such a good day until I read that. Actually though, the day started out fairly badly. Got into work later than planned, feeling a bit peelly-wally, and then things went a little bit bonkers workwise. Settled down a bit by lunchtime though and continued to improve from there.
A little concerned that my boss managed to prang her car late this afternoon. Sounds like she managed to do a fair bit of damage to it. Fortunately she seems to have walked away unscatched, which is a good thing.

I tried decaf coffee for the first time today. Unexpectedly, it sent me to the moon in exactly the same way fully caffeinated coffee does. That took me by surprise.

Sorry to hear that the cookie didn't provide what you needed. I grabbed a quick salad when I came in to munch whilst watching some "Doctor Who". Having had another busy evening however I am starting to feel like I could do with some supper.
It's been so long since I had coffee with caffine in it that I cannot remember what it was like. I suspect that if I switched back my nervous system would probably explode in outrage.
Chris- channelling will be done on Friday for success for you at thy interview.

Stress can have strange effects. I found myself humming 'Jingle Bells' on the way to the train station this morning. In April. I of course flogged myself for this henious crime.
Strangely, it's £1.20 cheaper to get to Uni from my folks house via train rather than bus. That's fucked up. Since when did trains become cheaper than buses? The 'public transport' system in this country continues to befuddle me.

Got stood up on a vital filming day for my uni documentary project. I should feel angry but I've decided to try and improvise. My workload seems to be having impromtu additional tasks and doubling . I want to cry sometimes.

Spent a few hours in the library and achieved the sum total of fuck all. Ear is giving me some gyp, which does not help, but I'll get the magic ear drops off the GP in the morning so that will clear up fairly quickly.
Been feeling pretty damn odd all day. Weird.
