I was gifted this about 3 years ago when Modelzone closed down and it includes 2 of my favourite things, Dracula and intricacies. I complete 75% of it fairly quickly but a couple of things stopped me completing it. I've got arthritis in my hand which also results in fat sausage fingers and I'm a perfectionist to the point of self-defeating. So the more detailed parts were never good enough, I must've stripped the head and cape clean a dozen times before I accepted I was never going to get it any better without more experience and better brushes/materials/paints.
I struggled to get the pale gaunt effect I was after on the face. Also should've left the skull the light sand colour instead of attempting to add layers, the flame I couldn't the right shade of colours or blend properly. I also made a mess of his eyes, I wasn't starting again though. Happy with the hairline, eyebrows, gold details on the shirt and the nails. Especially happy with the walls and effect I got on the door, the pictures don't capture it properly but the door has a nice aged effect with rust on the metal detailing. Managed to get the shoes to shine too.
Lighting isn't very good, most were taken with the flash on so they're maybe not the best representation of how its colours looks to the naked eye. It also needs dusted but given he's supposed to be centuries old, I thought it added a nice touch. 2nd last picture is an effect called vintage and last one is called Vivid.
