A wee bit more info:
"Stela wants to change how you read digital comics on the go. The company, which launched in the App Store today, offers stories told in sequential format specifically for smart phone scrolling. The Android version is in the works now. You can sign up for updates when it’s ready on the official site.
Unlike the guided view offered by some other digital comic outlets that zooms in and out of traditionally designed panels making them easier to read, Stela specifically created its stories for optimal vertical scrolling on mobile phones. Once you open an issue, it’s a simple matter of scrolling down to move from panel to panel. The first chapters are currently free, but to get the rest, you have to pay the $4.99 monthly subscription fee.
There are plans to update every day with new material, but right now launch titles include Rome West by Brian Wood, Justin Giampaoli and Andrea Mutti, Afruna and the Glass Coffin by Irene Koh, Teach by Stuart Moore and Greg Scott, Inheritance by BreakoutBit, and Out with a Bang by Moore and Tony Talbert. Plus, plenty of more books are on the way.
In addition to taking a new design approach to telling sequential art-based stories, Stela also offers readers a chance to comment on the works in the app and also communicate with the writers, artists, editors and other creative forces involved in the creation of the stories. You can tap on every creator’s name to see what else they’ve done on Stela, read a bio, and leave a note."
Couple of decent names in there and I know Victor Santos of Polar has something coming out.

Hmmm. The name of it either reminds me of a beverage or a bad TV show.

I'm assuming it's some kind of pun on Stellar.
