My attention has been drawn to this: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1440246408Apparently the author has a previous time on the subject which is considered very good so I'm in for a copy. Has to be better than the Alvarez "I'll leave out the toys I don't like" book from waaaay back. |

Only problem is he is the guy who did the text for IDW's Marvel Classics trades, which were poorly researched to say the least.

I'd be willing to give it a shot. I'm always up for a good reference book and the only US G1/2 TF toy guide I've got is the Cybertronian Index and I don't like the way that's organised.

Have you got a copy of Generations, the Japanese guide?
I'm really of the opinion it's the only G1/2 guide anyone *really* needs. But I do like toy books.

The Cybertron Unoficial recognition guides from way back were also good and it will take something special to top them.

Anyway it's here.
Thick, 1cm and a bit.
Yes I know weapons & accessories are easily lost, there's no need to tell me that everytime you show me a picture of some!
Just on a quick glance it looks a better effort than the Alvarez tomes. Bigger pictures than Generations but not so good and not so good layout. Reproduces TechSpecs for each toy.
