Listened to the second BF boxed set this week while doing a bit of manual labour outside. Four cracking stories very true to the original series. This one is made better by the fact Linda Newton is in it properly, rather than phoning in a few lines from Australia like the first set. The original three cast members are spot on and the new characters they've brought in to support them fit perfectly. Really hope this runs for a while.

How will you cope if BF Class outlasts BF Star Cops?

Star Cops has already lasted longer. 14 episodes and a full length audiobook novel. If you're right about Class, that's already dead at 12 episodes.

Ah but do we count number of episodes or number of releases? Or go from release date of first production to last production?

Star Cops wins on releases, four boxed sets like Class but plus an audiobook. Star Cops wins on length of time in production - 26 months as opposed to 20.
Star Cops is UNBEATABLE.

For production, are you going by the recording dates or publication dates?

Publication because that's what you asked. But it makes no difference. The first Star Cops story was recorded five months before the first Class story.
Star Cops is UNBEATABLE.

I usually go hardback if the option is there, but I really like the softback cover.

Finished listening to the Mike Tucker audiobook that bridges the two full cast seasons of Star Cops. Excellent story that can breathe over the six and a half hour run time about the implications of water on Mars if human colonization is going to happen. Trevor Cooper is a great reader, even if he struggles a bit at times with the huge variety of different accents thrown at him, but he does David Calder really well.

I was thinking about things like The Moon Stallion, which was one of those series that came up as a possibility when the BBC tried their on demand service before. Something like this is a good opportunity for series that aren't available to buy.
