I feel like we need a Humble Bundle thread as they usually have some great stuff. This is a charity thing; you donate money (minimum $1) and you get a selection of games (or comics, or books) and the money is split between a charity, the developers and the Humble Bundle site (you get to choose the proportion split). Lots of big names take part. There are usually three tiers. You get more if you pay over the average price, and even more if you pay the max amount (usually $15) 6 days left on the Star Wars bundle! Lots of games! www.humblebundle.com/star-warsNo idea if any of this stuff is any good, but I know there's a lot of Star Wars fans here!

Some cracking old games there. I've been tempted by some of those on gog.com before now for more than they're going for there.

I don't think I've ever sprung for the videogames ones. Partly due to the fact that I have a backlog of console games I have no idea when I will even start. I will agree that they can often be quite good value though. I sprung for the "nearly £300 of Pathfinder Rule books and scenarios" book bundle a couple of weeks back though. Not a system I'm likely to run (or play in for that matter but my D&D GM is a confirmed 3.5ed Ref with no intention of changing) but it I do like Paizo's output, ever since they were publishing Dragon. And at £12 for an insanely huge gaggle of .pdfs it was superbly good value.

I should keep a better check on the humble bundles. I'd probably have bought that. I don't play RPGs these days but I do listen to real play podcasts and I'm interested in the game systems and mechanics. If time wasn't a problem I'd try to develop a TF one.

I've got form for buying systems that I never intend to run just because I like reading sourcebooks, tinkering around with game mechanics and character creation (I've owned large chunks of second, third and fourth edition Shadowrun even though I've only ever played Second for example). There actually have been a couple of attempts at a "Transformers with the serial numbers filed off" in the past. The first, "Mechamorphosis" was effectively a D20 OGL book (so basically done for the D&D 3.5 ruleset and was... A bit *meh*.
There is also a short digital supplement for Spycraft which lets you do Giant Alien Robots hiding on Earth (combining that with the base game and the digital "Not GI:Joe, honest guvenor supplement would basically give you a sort of Bourne Movies/Transformers/Action Force mash-up which would take the right player group to pull off but could be entertaining).
There is another one which has had both a version with its own ruleset which self-admittedly attempted to emulate the tome of 80s saturday morning cartoons (and did a decent job of it) as well as a Pathfinder adaptation which adds loads of other setting lore and stuff which makes the default setting very much a "kitchen sink" that can accommodate just about anything Transformers, Gobots or even Sentai that you wanted to do with it. Wish I could remember the title of it! It is late and my brain is fried - I shall check my Drivethrurpg library at some point tomorrow.

Does anyone want a free copy of Stardew Valley (a lovely farming game that's Animal Crossing like for the PC). You will need to have steam installed, as it's a spare steam key off Humble Bundle that I've got (If I'm reading the instructions right!)

I'd have been straight in, but don't have a steam account. Stardew is on my list to buy when GOG discount it. I was a huge fan of Animal Crossing.

To be honest these days I just don't play games on a PC. Mine's equipped to do it, but I love a sofa and the PlayStation. I've bought a lot of PC games with the intention of playing them, the last was Anno 1404 a few weeks ago when GOG were selling it for peanuts, but I never get to it.

The whole point of Steam is to amass a gigantic library of games you never play!

Yes I will buy that with the intention of playing every game and then never quite get round to it. Because that's how we roll...
I've never quite worked out whether Ralph's gutteral Ngggghh noises are good or bad. Are they the frustration of temptation? Or the snorting of contempt?
