Robotkingdom users, how are they for marking down costs on postage, trying to evaluate options!

Full price.
However RK's shipping method appears to be the key to getting customed or not.
Bear with, link coming....

Assuming you escape customs! I forget what the value limit is nowadays. £15, but experimental evidence shows there's one method of Robotkingdom shipping that generally dodges CUTA and one that get you a red hot poker. tmukhub.proboards.com/post/202528/threadSorry didn't see this: Registered Air Mail Small Packet - Registered Air Mail, same as my Generations Legions (I have them and the rest of you haven't) which also escaped the red hot poker. By comparison my two larger orders sent by EMS hurt my bottom. So Registered Air Mail Small Packet - Registered Air Mail = good EMS = bad (and moved to it's own thread to make it easier to find)

Nice nice. though it still looks roughly the same cost to import as it is to buy here (looking to get the Skylynx wave)

There's very few occasions where anything over the customs limit is cheaper to buy abroad now. E-Hobby Deadlock, from HLJ, looking a rare exception

I suspect the E-Hobby stuff will stay that way for the forseeable. But yeah, UK stock is looking the way to go, as long as you don't want the first wave of Hong Kong releases that go for the big money.

Yes I did some fairly comprehensive investigations a while ago. Air mail small packet from RK doesn't ever seem to get caught, but the other options do. In fact small packet from China does seem to escape generally. I think royal mail are less worried about customs charges. I remember from years gone by it seems to be chance. If anything comes in through parcel force though, which the ems route does, then it'll be done every time. Same with ups.

Had an email from RK to say they were hacked during the week and the money for my Seacons w3 went to someone else.
Sure enough that's obvious from the Paypal transaction when you know something is amiss, certain details were different from RK's usuaul transactions and when I checked the address the money went to wasn't a Robotkingdom.com one so a dispute has been opened, but if you bought anything from them c Wednesday it might be worth checking.

Robotkingdom have a FB notice up saying HK Post have suspended some or all of their services to many countries, including the UK I have two parcels from them in the HK postal system. I'm not clear as to if the specific restrictions listed bellow apply to my packages or not but it looks like RK might be unavailable to us for a while www.hongkongpost.hk/en/about_us/whats_new/notices/index_id_898.htmlHOPEFULLY my parcels which are en route will eventually get here, albeit with a delay: Seacons w3 and Nemesis Prime

Just tried buying Red Cog & SS86 Ratchet/Wheelie from RK. The postage was so eye watering even I said no

Just did my first RK order in probably a decade or so and got an email a few hours later asking if I want them to declare the full value (for obvious reasons). Do they normally do this? Do people here who order from them do this or not?

They do do this but I've never said yes

I'm inclined not to, feels a bit risky and off, but the postage cost was a bit of a blow so it's tempting to find some way to save a bit!
