The adaptation of the excellent Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon comic is drawing closer.
Howard Stark is Jessie Custer.

I'm not sure this is going to work for me: I like the original so much that it's going to be hard for it to be anything other than disappointing.

I am interested in seeing how they approach the story. It's unlikely to come even close to holding a candle to the comics which I still rate as one of the greatest comics I've read.

That's sometimes part of the issue for me with something like this: I spend so much time watching how they're doing it (and being dissatisfied) that I can't just settle in and enjoy it.
But Walking Dead, though my personal attachment level to the source was infinitely less, gives me hope in AMC so fingers crossed. As long as it's no Bay TF then I guess that will be something.

I... I guess...
If I hadn't been told that was a Preacher adaption, I'd never have guessed from the trailer in a million years!

There were enough wee bits in the trailer I recognised.

Series 2 is currently in progress.
Series 1 was pretty good, different enough from the comic to justify it's existence. Worth a watch.

I think this has been a really fun ride, so far. I greatly enjoyed the first season, and the second's been pretty good.
Seth Rogan has gone on record that he never intended for it to be funny at all. But as they went along, they just couldn't ignore the natural absurdity of it.
