A few Inception inspired shots, but looks decent enough.
Sadly I don't think we will get to see Rintrah.

Trailer makes the film look like a crap Inception knock-off. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
I hope it is just a crap misleading trailer though. Ant-Man looked crap from the trailer but I quite enjoyed the film.
As an aside, I would have preferred it if Chewie was Dr Strange and Cumberland Sausage was Mordo!

Back from seeing it this afternoon - really enjoyed it. I thought it had a cracking pace, and that the cast put in a really good shift. Got a decent mileage out of Strange's origin story, really making use of it to get good character moments. It was visually rather nice as well - sure, you can spend a large effects budget to make lots of animated robots for people to punch, but given a choice between that and spending the money to show space being warped, bent, fold, spindled and mutilated in a hundred ways at once, I know which I think is more interesting.
The theme is fantastic, I would agree - really sticks in the head. Yeah, good stuff. Brings the hit-rate of Marvel movies back up a bit for me after a but of a downturn.

going on Sunday, cant wait, although my missus wants to see it because she likes benedict cumberbatch. I am slightly unnerved by this as its the same woman who can't follow spiderman, X men, Wolverine and avengers because the plot is too confusing and there are too many characters ..........

There are only a small number of characters to follow in this.

They're generally not a touch on the comics, and in this case in particular it's a character I don't get on with: I tend to dislike things with a high magic/sorcery content.

I cannot admonish Phil. While I mostly enjoy the MCU I have very little interest in Marvel live action shows. Not all Marvel related media is for everyone.
Fun as the movies are, the primary Marvel texts are the comics. I like many of the films a great deal but they don't 'count' as much as the comics, for me. I do get annoyed when things in comics are changed to 'fit' the films rather than the other way round.

It never bothered me when they work in new popular elements introduced in the movies. Like, why shouldn't Agents May and Coulson be introduced in the comics? But Falcon or Thor don't need to be retconned to act exactly like their on screen counterparts. The people who become comic readers because of the movies are generally smart enough to understand the comics won't be exactly like the movies. Those who aren't clever enough to have that understanding are not inclined to read comics in the first place. I think this, but then there is the whole Drax problem.
