There were subs of around a dozen episodes obtained *cough* around a decade ago (fecking hell) but that was pre-broadband days and I have no idea how to find them again!

(A couple of fansubbing groups were working on it and Neo at one stage but I don't know how far they actually got). Not far, to about episode 8 of each series.

I hope this new release would mean someone finally gets around to fansubbing them. Or better yet: an overseas release.

Much as I would love to see a Western release of Beast Wars Second, given my love of its somewhat bizarre sense of humor, I'd not recommend anyone hold their breath on it. Considering how long it took to get a proper Western release of Masterforce and Victory I figure that it'll be a long time coming, if ever.
I'm actually surprised to hear of it getting a Japanese DVD release to be honest. Although I suppose that the generation that grew up with Second are probably in that narrow window of high disposable income.
(This makes me feel slightly old. Where's my robot walking stick for waving crankily?).

We got the Japan cartoons released on DVD in the UK before the US - it's BW/BM Mainframe that we had to wait for [we still are waiting for BW series 1/2 DVD UK releases - but we have the video release apart from 2.1 which was toy only]
It'll be great to see this released in the UK.
But we need another few releases on DVD - [box sets]
Beast Wars series 1 part 1 & 2 [13 on each] Beast wars series 2 [all apart from the last 3 parter that was on BW vol 1] Beast Wars rest of series 3 released on DVD - or a series 3 box set if they do series 2 13 ep's box set.
The following - have to be complete series because they aren't that good to have them split into 4 box sets] Armada series one complete DVD box set series 2 Energon series 1 series 2 Cybertron series 1 series 2 Animated series 3 Prime series 1 part 1 & part 2

Dunno tbh. I'm preoccupied with the Sunbow stuff at the moment. I might leave this a bit.

It's a torrent Ralph; peer to peer file sharing. You need torrent software to download it. Utorrent is small and unintrusive www.utorrent.com/intl/en/If you have a torrent client installed and then click that link it will fire up the software and start downloading it.

Yes, just turn it off. It'll automatically reconnect next time you run the program. If you haven't used torrent software before be aware you are uploading to other people as well as downloading from them. Once you begin to build up the downloaded files they'll be shared back to other people trying to download it too. But it only happens when the utorrent software is running.

Episode 1 watched. I've never seen the video and audio so cleanly before for a BWII ep. The subtitles are very well done.

I've only had time for the first two episodes. I'm looking forward to once I get past the first dozen-ish which is far as I saw previously on an older sub attempt.
