If we used Transformers as currency, what size classes or toys buy what we need? What would be the conversion rate?
A decoy buys a chocolate bar. A Legion buys a takeaway meal. A deluxe buys a meal out.

Does a used Voyager buy a new Voyager?
A deluxe for a meal out! I wish.

Buying a Titan costs you a divorce when the Mrs finds out what you spent!

Lords, what would a Titan class buy?!?! A CITY?!?! There has been some debate as to what a Fort Max will buy you. Things might be cheaper with Transformers! -Ralph

Hmm. Given that this would effectively be a barter system - Transformers having no inherent value in themselves... It would depend what wider society eventually came to a consensus on. Just like in the days when people used to trade X bushels of Wheat for Y pounds of meat.
Mind you, eventually someone would come up with the idea of a token that represented the promise of exchange for "one transformer" or fraction thereof, and then we would be back to actual currency, only on the Robot Standard instead of the Gold Standard...

We need to work out some kind of conversion chart.

A deluxe costs $16 usd. That indeed buys a meal out at most places, here. Hell, a legend costs $10, and that can buy a fast food meal. Legions cost $7, and that can almost get you McDonalds.

On this matter, Kapow have said that the standard retail price for Marvel Legends figures is now £25. I'm assuming they mean the 6 inch ones, but even so, £20 for a CW deluxe suddenly doesn't sound *that* bad.

This old thread caught my eye as I was searching for a particular old thread and I was reminded how we now measure prices in Haslab Unicrons!
