The folk who made Thunderbirds 1965 have a youtube channel where they also put their 'making of' feature along with clips. I made the mistake of reading the youtube comments. Complaints that it is not in widescreen mean I now must purge the world!!!

Yep. That is one of the basic rules. It applies not just to Youtube but almost any large site with a comments section. It is noted as causing rage, elevated blood pressure and temporarily decreased quality of life. Comments sections, just say no.

I was posting on Twitter about Andy's love of Space Precinct Pogs and the tweet was endorsed by Jamie Anderson and the official Gerry Anderson twitter account, so now Andy must not disappoint Gerry Anderson's legacy and become the biggest Space Precinct fan ever.

I've been watching this over the last couple of days. It is most bizarre to say the least. The Space Police pilot is hugely ambitious in the variety of different Anderson techniques it employs, but it's terrible. Looks like a fan film. The highlight, if it can be said to be, is a promo film for a sixties coach tour company in which Nicholas Parsons spends half an hour letching over women in various European countries. It's an amazingly eclectic mix of complete rubbish.

The highlight, if it can be said to be, is a promo film for a sixties coach tour company in which Nicholas Parsons spends half an hour letching over women in various European countries. It's an amazingly eclectic mix of complete rubbish. In fairness, the Space Police pilot was just that - a pilot that was being shopped around various channels and networks to try and get some interest. Like a lot of pilots it wasn't really intended to be shown to actual audiences. It was inevitably going to get retooled before going to series, just as things like BtVS was between the pilot for that and the first episode that was actually shown to a television audience. (Admittedly Space Police is in the unfortunate position of being a pilot of which almost nothing transfered to the actual series, and yet there was no real improvement...but...them's the breaks I guess.) My word there's some shite on this DVD. There's a children's puppet show ala Andy Pandy which has no reference to Anderson in the credits at all and needed a visit to IMDB to clarify he was an unnamed producer.
There's also an updated trailer for Space Police which looks like an early 90s attempt to resell the idea. It's closer to Space Precinct but is still terrible despite featuring Chloe Annett. It's five minutes long but the lurking terror is over TWO HOURS of raw footage from the shoot for it.
Again Nicholas Parsons steals top spot. An advert for the Blue Cars holiday company in which he is dressed as a martian espying good value package tours from space. I can't find an image of this anywhere on the internet but I might have to do a screen grab as it is just so totally bonkers.

No, a la Andy Pandy, as in same style. The programme was called Here Comes Kandy about a drowsy bear who was trying to help a kangaroo put chimney pots on his house but was being interrupted by three hideous doll things. It was frightening. Especially when Kandy walked into the kangaroo's workshop and asked him if he had anything he could bang. He meant with a hammer but he went on about enjoying banging things. I wanted to run away.
