Indeed. The solution already exists! Panini has caught up a bit on US publication and there's not much gap between Titan's US Doctor Who Comics and when they're in the UK newsstand title. Not sure how up to date Titan's DC titles are.
The previous price rises of US comics (physical and digital) is what pushed me to Paninivision in the first place. I'm now used to the nice printing, less ads during the story and it being much cheaper that I rarely buy US single issues now.

Problem with Panini reprints is that the creators don't get anything.

Due to the way Marvel licenses their work for overseas reprints, it's been a long standing issue.

I wouldn't feel bad about it. It's not like you're downloading them illegally, you are buying them even if the company who owns the rights is being a bit crap with your cash.
