TFW2005 have a few more detailsI doubt we need to look for conspiracies or shadowy figures here. JB did a huge amount as writer and editor, but seemed exhausted in recent times. He may have just wanted to step back from the admin role to focus upon more creative work.

He was in charge when the decision was taken to go to TWO TF books and have James Roberts write one of them so .....

As I understand it, he writes Ex-RID, and collabs with James so that the two books don't clash, and edits the whole lot of the TF (Maybe even Hasbro licensed) books. It sounds like a lot, and I'm not surprised if he's tired and wants a step back. |

He wasn't editor on his own titles. That's not allowed. But he was still the busiest of guys.
Denton is a great chap by all accounts (as in those who know him, not embittered fans) so I'm not discouraged by the news.

But he also let scott write one with the endless errors. I just read stinkblade v2#1 & Optimus with the Matrix with isn't around anymore. But John was writing lots of comics while being a editior. He wasn't just doing Transformers RID.
Just quick look & he's been writing
back to the future, AXIS, angry birds, action man, dark tower, gijoe, nation x, rom, marvel super heroes,

I hope that not being involved in editing books might help John rediscover his mojo, as TCFKARID has not been a winner of late in my opinion.

Now that Barber isn't an editor that makes him more likely to be able to attend TF Nation or any other conventions. I'd heard that as he was an editor he was essentially a Hasbro employee and wouldn't be able to attend unofficial conventions.
