I need to go here: startrekblackpool.co.uk/I have some leave to use up so I am thinking last week of August and combining it with hilarious see-side hijinks. Anyone free or near there? Spoke to M if he is free but thought I would stick the idea up here too. -Ralph

Am tempted to go and I am free that time as I'm off for two weeks for TFN... but it'd be just after TFN and require a 3/4 hour train journey. Will have to have a think.

Well I plan to stick in a leave request this week and then I will know exactly when I am free.

Right. I have week of the 22nd August off, if anyone is free for Trek fun let me know as this weekend as I will be sorting out tickets, travel etc then before the travel costs shoot up. I am aware it is just after TF Nation but thought I would say anyway!

I have been hearing very good reports of this from folk who have been. Roll on the 26th!
Just a shame it is the TOS bridge you can sit on and not the one from Enterprise.

Fool!
I look forward to rocking back and forth on the Enterprise bridge!
I am not paid for a bit so cannot sort out my trip until a week before. Tension. Let's hope the transport costs don't rise to Stupid Amount between now and then.

Burns and Merrifield will be doing the afternoon session (1pm-5pm) on the 26th!

Excellent! Clearly you have to remember to stand up at the hooded viewer - as this is the most important place on the bridge...

Quite frankly, if I get to look through the hood viewer at the magic blue light on the bridge I am not leaving it!!!

Sadly I'm fiscally a broken man so won't be making it tomorrow. I will hopefully be doing the big con at home of TFN the NEC in October though. Christopher Lloyd!

We'll tug our shirts into position more often then to make up for your absence.

And I shall squeeze my breasts into an inappropriately tight catsuit in your honour.

We'll tug our shirts into position more often then to make up for your absence. But you are going to the proper Enterprise bridge... Shirts of that era fitted well, they were just prone to becoming ripped during fist-fights... Karl

It's a surreal sight to see a Captain Archer road sign.

Captain Archer'a outfits, ships and clips were all prominent in the Exhibition.
As was William Shatner's commando outfit from Star Trek V...

I swear few things have excited me as much as seeing Kirk's Star Trek V jumper. I tried my damndest to touch it but it was impossible without either damaging the exhibit or myself. At least I got a photo beside it. I am the world's biggest Star Trek V fan! It was exciting to me!
Also greatly amused to see a Reman costume. It was in the shadows of course.
