It's the TFNation 2016 Travel Thread!
How & when are you intending to get to & from the nation's premier Transformers convention and what chaos has ensued?
As yet this year we don't have heavy rain and rioting but give it time.....

For the bro and I, possibly the easiest journey of any of us (except Matt). 40 mins on a train. Boom.

Hahahaha. I have highlighted where Ed has gone wrong in his statement For the bro and I, possibly the easiest journey of any of us (except Matt). 40 mins on a train. Boom.

Not at all. There have been no reported disruptions here.

But surely the shear numbers of TMUKers on the rails will force SOMETHING to happen?
Even I am wary of setting foot on the trains today & Saturday!

My journey starts tomorrow night. I shall be getting the Megabus from Glasgow to Birmingham at 2245, and arriving about 0430.

Not heading down until Friday morning, still busy with culling and editing up here till then. Looking forward to it - too many years since I have done the run down Birmingham way. It will be nice to see Moonbase NEC and the new iNew Street station.

Driving from Southampton on Friday, around lunch time. Should be fine! I'll be doing the same. 150 miles for me, 2.5 hours plus Friday traffic holdups. I've done the journey many times before in my football supporting days. Birmingham used to be a day trip. Hoping to be installed in time for Andy's Gobot panel.

55 mins direct on the train from Watford, arriving early afternoon Friday. And with time for the first drink of the con with James O when we meet at Watford Junction.

Roads are proving to be worse than I'd expected... Not going to make a mid afternoon meet up, I'm only just onto the M40. I'll try and catch up with anyone around early evening.

Used to take two and a half hours to get to Shirley on a Saturday for football. Five and a half hours that took! So gutted to have missed the Gobots panel. I'll know for next time.
