Seeing as there was a lot of attention given to my filed collection of CG2 at the recent convention, I might look into getting these reprinted - possibly with new lettering on the strips. But, I just need to check with anyone who contributed if you are happy for me to do this with your (old) work? I can give the respective authors/artists the option to alter or change anything they want to or of course honour their choice not to include certain items at all - but just to state that these would be marketed clearly as 'reprints' within the fandom and it will be made clear that they are not current work of TMUK. Message me personally if you have any concerns or wishes with regard to this. Early days yet but thought it best to get peoples permission before I get stuck into it.

Hi Matt Sorry, but as stated many times on here I don't really want to see any of my old stuff re-released, please! Thanks... Martin

Not a problem Martin - although it will be a massive shame to have your work omitted (as it's still of an excellent standard and was a very important aspect of the storyline and the fanzine itself) I'll do as you wish and not reprint any of it. We can add a Robot Wars type story so far to keep people up to date with what has occurred story-wise. Of course, if you change your mind - please let me know!

Hi Kevin! It's been a long time! Nice to see your new work in the Rock Lords 'Zine. Your old work is also still of an excellent standard but if you'd rather it not be seen then I shall respect that. Luckily, Andy Dornan is quite keen so that's most of the first batch of issues strips okayed.

Hi Matt, I would really love a reprinted CG2 collection I think my only contributions to CG2 other than letters in the letters pages, were the back cover to one of the later issues (I think it was Victory themed) and a bunch of "Artobots" inserts. I'm ok with you reprinting the back cover piece (even though I can do much better now), but please obliterate the "Artobots" features as I think I was about 12-13 when I did them Just a suggestion: if people are requesting that pieces be withdrawn, and you're replacing them with a Robot War feature, it might be worth producing some form of CG2 Anthology that contains everything (maybe over a couple of volumes), rather than reprinting individual issues. You could then include the covers/back covers as part of a gallery, and have a new front cover? Something along these lines:

Yep, that's the plan - mainly the strips that can be used reprinted with new introduction pages and bit's. I love this cover that you have coloured - it really improves my lacklustre artwork!
Don't worry - the Artobots pages will not feature but will certainly use the 'pin up' back covers from those contributers who are happy to have them included.

Argh! Sorry guys - this will happen! I just keep getting involved in other things and putting it on the back burner. It's nearly there - just need to get the first one printed.

Fantastic news Matt - good to know this is moving ahead. It'll be nice to have access to some foundational TMUK material again in due course.
No need to apologise, I know myself how things can come up which have to take priority.

Has anyone spoken with Nick Roche about reproducing his CG2 artwork, in this or other compilation produced over the years*? His Rage in Hell artwork is integral to the G2 continuation and it would be a pity if it was excluded.
* I seem to recall a TMUK Archive CD being produced at one stage.

Yes, I've nattered to Nick about it a couple of times.

Is the issue inside or is it just the cover?

Inside. Matt D made them though there was a printing mishap with the middle pages, alas.

Yes, but I will be doing some more re-lettering anyway as a result.

I've been trying to remember what happened to this CG2 reprint. Was it printed and distributed?

The Huff Is there any chance of picking one up still. While I still have issues #16/4 - #32/20, I don't own physical copies of the first 3 issues and the final few issues featuring The Kingdom of The Blind

Hi all, I've recently had two children's books printed and when they finish paying for themselves, I'll use the excess to get the CG2 special from last years TFN printed properly from the same place. It's all done - collecting the first two Andy Dornan strips as well as a couple of profiles. Andy T is kindly re-lettering the second strip for me so it matches the brilliant job he did on the first. So as soon as it's done, and I'm in a financial position to get them printed, I'll let you know. chrisl it will also you re-coloured cover on the back.
