A response of 'but another company aren't returning them' seems odd. You didn't do business with that company. That would be like trying to return an out of date food item to Asdaland but told you can't becuse Sainsburgeries said they wouldn't. -Ralph I'd argue with them that this is over and above the reasons given for non-return (ie paint scratching with the barrel etc) and goes into faulty product

Kapow and others informed customers the product was faulty and gave them the option to cancel and have a refund so customers can't return them after the paint scratches or the silencer scuffs the paint because customers are aware of it prior to purchase. IDToys are obviously just chancing their arm, not giving customers the option to cancel but then saying the information was out there. Its unsatisfactory quality and as it's a transforming toy that can't be transformed due to the damage it's also not fit for purpose.

I haven't received any word from Kapow re. supposed issues with the figure, just an invoice for the balance several weeks ago.

You would have thought that IDToys would themselves be seeking to return these to Takara as being not fit for purpose...

It's clearly a design feature so that you can put the TF:TM battle damage face on and have the rest of the body complete the look.

After a couple more tension filled emails finalising in me quoting statute law, IDToys have agreed to accept the return.
I do have sympathy for them in that Takara have shipped sub-standard goods buy that's between them and Takara, the customers shouldn't have to pay for me.
He did say, out of the 240 MP-36 figures they've sold, that they've only had 3 complaints so far. In fact that makes it harder to understand why they're resisting returns.

Probably because it will set a precedent that if made public could encourage more.
Interesting he revealed how many they've sold. 240 x the £190 asking price is well over £40k. I wonder how much of that they actually get to keep as profit. Not a huge amount I'd think.

Other retailers made the issues public though, IDToys have admitted they knew and deliberately never told people about it. I can't think profit margin is very big. Although pre-order price was £170 so any at £190 retail gives them more of a cushion. The faulty units are going back to Takara though, they aren't losing anything on them.

He's here.
He's now in a hands on hips power pose laughing maniacally with one foot on MP-10 Optimus led out on his back. Surrounded by Ultra Magnus (looking horrified), Star Sabre, Grimlock and Rodimus Prime.
I haven't dared transform him, but as an action figure (rather than a Transformer) proportions are good, he's solid and easy to pose. Back kibble is no where near as bad as some people had made out.

Thinking about this, and there are three decos I would buy this in: And the hypothetical unseen G2 deco that was stated to be so bad to get passed toy gun laws, they decided to just make a new mold.

I want to see it! But yes. Marvel colours Megatron is something I really want. Right after Marvel colours Ratchet.

Aaron Archer talked about G2 Megatron once at a botcon, years ago. The original proposed concept, if memory serves me, was sky blue with a clouded camo pattern. That was regected, and it kept getting sillier/uglier from there, until they came up with something that was just "...forget this."

Well the commemorative reissue is blue(ish) and orange. So there's that.
I do feel like we've seen it? But searches turn up nothing, and I sorta feel if images existed online, that it'd be up on the Wiki.

It came up in the past about spoilers in threads, and how much of a waste of time they are, but Matt liked them as he doesn't read the forum correctly.

Which made it a brilliant time to point that out just as he started a poll about how 'recent posts' is the right way to view to forum...
