I found this today when I was on comicartfans.com. Someone commissioned Simon Bisley to draw some Transformers. This is the result - and it is awesome. Andy

Uk comic artist who came to fame with The ABC Warriors: The Black Hole, Slaine the Horned God, Batman/Judge Dredd - Judgement on Gotham and Lobo.
Pops up now and again doing whatever pleases him.
Amazing artist whose work blew me away the first time I saw it.

Also the guy who did the art for the TV prog 'Spaced' with Simon Pegg, who played the character Tim Bisley.

That's an awesome picture and I'm sure I've heard his name before somewhere but none of the aforementioned comic books or TV show rings any bells with me.

His art on ABC Warriors: The Black Hole is a direct inspiration for Derek Yaniger's Generation 2 work. Indeed there is one panel in the run that is almost a swipe of a Bisley panel.
I dare say I will award some karma to the person that can give me the correct panel from G2 and the original it's homaging.
As I am a fair Hubtyrant I will tell you it's in Issue 1.

I must hang my head in shame, because I know you have told me in the past which panel it is but I can't recall off the top of my head. Bisley is indeed a fantastic artist - his artwork is what makes "The Black Hole" material in "ABC Warriors" work for me. The writing doesn't work for me, but the art is very striking. I love that Transformers picture I must admit - there is a sense of power and presence to the characters that is incredibly striking. Bisley is one of those artists that I would rate up alongside early period Shirow in terms of the energy and punch he can put into an action scene (for those who don't know- that is high praise coming from me).
