I went to a Button Moon play when I was a kid. My sister and I got to leave school early.
I got a badge.
Star Fleet gave us no such gifts.

The Button Moon theme has been loved by generations of children and is also has a neat tangential connection to Doctor Who. Your man/woman in the street knows the theme to Button Moon. They do not know the theme to Star Fleet (or even know of the show).
