Listened to Class 1.2 - Life Experience
This one features Tanya and Ram visiting a science laboratory on work experience. By-the-numbers 'trapped in a base with a ravenous alien' story. Not much else to it. Lifted above being mediocre by Jenny T Colgan's dark humour in the scripting. What these audios are showing is the inexperience of the core cast, their vocal range for audio isn't very good and they're shown up by the supporting cast. Ram particularly.
The CD versions of these releases are now out of print on the BF website. Does that make these discs rare and exclusive?

1.3 - Tell Me You Love Me
Oh dear. I thought I was getting off lightly with these audios but this was dreadful. 50 minute story based around the single premise that an alien parasite gets into Charlie, which causes him to talk incessantly, and the only way to pass this parasite on to someone else is by telling them you love them. Of course with Matteus this firstly happens by accident, and then deliberately. Twenty minutes passes. Quill is summoned. She gets involved. Hilarity ensues as she contracts the parasite deliberately and then passes it on by telling Charlie, the one person she hates most in the universe, that she loves him. Ho ho ho. Twenty more minutes pass of these three characters sat in a room talking about nothing interesting. Eventually, Quill solves the problem by ringing someone up randomly and telling them she loves them. Not actually solving the problem you understand, just passing it on to someone else who has nothing whatsoever to do with the plot. The end.
Terrible. It's painful listening to the cast talking afterwards about how this is a tightly plotted expose of the characters' relationships, delving into Charlie and Matteus's psyches as they get to know each other. Ugh. No. No it isn't. It's fanfic fantasy garbage at best.
Thanks, Doc.

Honestly, if you heard that as a pitch, why in earth would you commission it? I can hear it: "No, no, honestly, it'll be a really interesting fifty minute exploration of the love these two boys have for each other."

At least I've got a bit of Sophie Aldred and an exciting sequel to Remembrance of the Daleks to look forward to.
That can't possibly go wrong...

It makes perfect sense. I can then seek commentary from the world's number 1 Class fan - you!
Besides I have watched eps 1 and 2 of the TV show, have read one of the novels and have heard the 6 audio episodes. I am still ahead of most of the planet in Class consumption!

WHAT.
You've listened to all the Big Finish stuff and not passed comment on it!? Leave me to suffer this nonsense alone?!
This is the ultimate evil.
Mind you, you have a mountain of BF stuff to listen to. Why did Class jump the queue? Are you secretly... A FAN?

I did not know when you would listen so battered through them ASAP. I burned through all 6 episodes in one night so I could get on to good audio stuff. I informed Andu I had heard them heee hee heeeee. The episode that has hurt you the most so far...is by far the best one. The Remembrance of the Daleks one is a turd of epic proportions. -Ralph

Such deceit.
Anyway, I disagree. The first two were alright, the third one was shite. Not only was it dull, but the shock end designed to show Quill's uncaring nature just made for a boring cop out. How do we rid the world of this alien? Well, just give it to someone else. Apparently via a telephone line.
