Yay thanks! I'm glad I've got it resurrected and kicked off at any rate.
I'll probably do an article on the new 2002 line Skeletor figures (especially DISCO Skeletor) and He-Man ones too.
Does anyone have any pics? I only have the original He-Man and Skeletor of that line

I picked up the Rio Blast staction figure for 3.99 at the local comic shop. He's actually really nifty.
They had Evil Lyn there too, but she did not interest me as much. Sure they dont move, but for that sort of money...

When you mean staction figure, you mean those busts that the Four Horsemen seemed more interested in making?
I have carded (although) dented 'Snake Men era' Mekaneck figures at my nearest Poundstretcher that could do with a good home.

When you mean staction figure, you mean those busts that the Four Horsemen seemed more interested in making? Nope, they're the ones that look like the 2002 action figures, but are actually statues [hence the name staction]. Most of the Horde was done like that, and they display well with the figures, but were more expensive.

Yeah. They're basically the same as the toys but don't move, but in scale with the other ones. Usually quite expensive, but 3.99 wasn't, so I thought I'd give it a go!

I think its cool that the touched up MOTU and re-issue TMNT lines are being advertised as Adult collectors items. No more "Ages 5 and Up" labels. Good! Those multiple Trademarks with a few R's thrown in made me giddy. I had no idea Keldor and Randor were half bros either. They look... Unalike.

I think it's quite sad, actually, that the new He-Man figures are Adult Collector Things. He-Man should be available for the kids, what with it being a line of toys originally aimed at children (that adults can also enjoy). I think that He-Man, managed right and rested from time to time, has the potential to be an evergreen property. Sword and sorcery + SF nonsense = ideal for kiddies.

Thats why I think the 2002 line failed. Well for many reasons.
But the figures looked like FANTASTICALLY detailed adult figures, but there was no way a kid could play with it without it all falling to bits.

Shortpacking was one of the things if I remember right.
In an ideal world, a figure line would be universally aged and enjoyed by all like *cough* Transformers (Just see those diverse collection photos in the Titan Movie comic).
I think the market that would appreciate those He Man/TMNT lines a little more would be the adult fan with more pocket money, and on a generation level too. Still the adult fan who has kids can always introduce them to those cool things from thier day anyhow. I know I will with my own kids in the future. Aside from the age thing, an adult with a credit card is more likely to order this stuff from BBTS anyway.
As for Skeletor/Keldor. I think there is an oppurtunity for bone-face to have his own story arc based on that profile about how he recruited Eternia's most notorious rejects. Maybe a comics company could do a spotlight style thing or something.

Well, the new He-Man line is only available on-line and is targeted specifically at adult collectors. I think they look quite nice in pictures. I just think it's a shame that a line hasn't been developed for kids but then after the 2002 line tanked horribly I'm not sure retailers would be interested, especially with no tie-in media. He-man may have had its day as a children's toy-line. If so, it had a pretty good innings anyway, so fair enough. Time will tell. -Ralph

I am sure when the time is right, He-Man will return for a newer younger audience, especially If the Greyskull/He-Man film trilogy script is ever picked up in Hollywood.

True. The chap in charge of the line posts updates on he-man.org. The reusable body parts is not just keeping the line cost down but to homage the original line.

I dont mind that, but some of the pieces dont' look generic enough. Like, Skeletor no longer has three-toed boots, he has THREE-TOED DEVIL FEET, and so anyone else who used to have the same boots now has THREE-TOED DEVIL FEET
