For anyone picking up Origins Webstor, be very careful with the string gimmick. The string was poorly tied to the grappling hook on mine, and came off less than two minuets after I opened him. Now one end is in the backpack and I have no idea how to open it.

Typical that a week after I finally bought this set, The mega Construx Panthor at Point Dread now drops down to £15 at Smyths. www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/construction-and-cars/mega-construx/mega-construx-masters-of-the-universe-panthor-at-point-dread/p/191323. To continue my adventures down the rabbit hole that is MOTI Origin, I had a few pre-orders of sorts arrive over the past week or so. Firstly I had two sets of the Eternian Royal Guard arrive, that comes with a moustache-less Man-At-Arms head and armour. Sunday Mosquitor arrived from Germany, and today the Windraider showed up, that was a surprised dispatchas only a few days ago I was received an email telling me it wouldn't be due until the 10th December.

I normally find off brand building sets like this a bit lacking, but these MOTU sets look pretty decent. And 15 quid for that set is a great price.
What's the brick quality like? Do the pieces fit together well? Does the plastic feel good (I don't know how to explain it, but proper Lego has a quality to it other brands don't)

TK Maxx over here in Germany has those mega construx MOTU sets drastically reduced - I'm not at all tempted tbh, but might be worth checking out TK Maxx in the UK as well. I saw Mosquitor on the shelves at Müller the other day, looks nice but I resisted. They have had whole stacks of the Windraider out for a good six weeks that don't seem to be moving at all - I am holding on for a sale!

Though he is only listed by over priced third party sellers at the moment, but maybe worth watching. He was £18.02 when I took the plunge. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08S7C8ZR5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You bought the Grayskull ring? Where did you get that from? I haven't seen it anywhere for less than £25, and o have little interest on it for that price.
Also I have a Fisto to send you.

Awww how kind of you! Plenty of Rings on Ebay on its own or with 2 wrestling figures. I saw one at Castle Spence last week and thought it would be a fun diaroma type thing to put the bad guys in. I wasn't bothered about it until I saw one. Origins is a fanastic line. -Ralph

Do the pieces fit together well? Does the plastic feel good (I don't know how to explain it, but proper Lego has a quality to it other brands don't) Ive only got the He-man and Merman set so far. I mostly bought it for the figures and they are good (and a with all minifigures, scale nicely with Transformers). I wasnt really fussed about the vehicles as the price was low enough that I wa happy paying it just for the figures. But the bricks are okay. They dont feel as solid as lego, but they arent weak or loose fitting. The constructions are decent too. I'll be collecting Point Dread tomorrow, again at £15, the figures will be worth it, the vehicle and building are a bonus. Nick spent big on Castle Greyskull and seems to be completely happy with the results.

Saw the vintage variant head versions of He-Man and Skeletor in B&M. I was tempted but was distracted by avoiding maskless crowds. Another time.

I knew my local B&M wouldn't have any, as it is tiny and never gets the good things in, but I had a look when I was out shopping just in case something else may have shown up. I got what I expected with nothing MOTU.
Amazon on the the other hand do have Mega Construx Castle Grayskull down to £113.99. It was about £145 when I last looked.

The Masterverse figures can't be selling well at Smyths, as they have dropped from £25 to £20, and now £15 each in Smyths. I also see that vintage headed He-Man and Skeletor, along with new head He-Man are also down at the B&M price of £11.99.

That's not promising. I doubt we'll see many more. Although maybe if there was a full line out ready for the launch of the cartoon that would help. But this is Mattel, so...

Two lines at once at retail for a property that had been absent from shelves for 20 years was always going to be a tricky proposition. Especially when neither go with the current kids show.

They only showed up on the Smyths website as listing today, but I have seen on Facebook that wave 7 of Origins have been found in some England Smyths. That is the wave of the Filmation coloured Sorceress, Jitsu, Buzz-Off and the strange comic looking Stratos. Last time they took about a week before they showed up on Scotland, so we shall see what night shift brings.
Edie: Okay I see Glasgow have a few cases of each, along with a smattering of stores in England and Wales. But most stores don't have any stock of this wave yet. Strange. Only ten stores have them so far. Usually when Glasgow get stock the Linwood and Kilmarnock stores also get the same stuff in on the same day, but no MOTU figure were in Tuesdays delivery. We shall see what tomorrows brings.

I was in the Glasgow Smyths last night and all they had Origins-wise was peg after peg of He-Man or Skeletor. Not exactly an exciting range on display there.
They also had the reduced Masterverse figures, and now have one less Teela.

I did check the stock levels at about 2am, so it could be possible that they were only put out during the night and the stock levels/delivery being updated after midnight, as it is nightshift season. I have started on nightshift this week until Christmas for this very reason. With Glasgow being one of the biggest stores in the UK I am assuming they will be getting deliveries every day now, which all stores usually get at this time of year but due to the Brexit driver shortage etc my store will only be getting 4/5 deliveries a week.
Nice to see though that your gamble on Teela paid off.
Update:
I have received a photo that Wave 7 they have shown up in Kilmarnock today, so I shall be picking these up before my shift tonight.
