I play games on consoles more than PC. The only online PC service I use for buying games is GOG.com, because I live in the past and their sales make things dirt cheap. I picked up Anno 1404 for about £3.50 the other week. Trying to find time to play it.

I am actually on Steam. I've had a steam account for a while and bought a grand total of Civilisation III so far... There hasn't been much time for videogaming whilst I was a student - and not much more during my period of post-graduation unemployment...

I'll be honest and say that there is a part of me that feels that GOG is a better fit for me than Steam. After all GOG can offer me "Alpha Centauri", the first two X-Com games...all at the price of about a fiver each. Things more of my era of PC gaming. For modern games I find it easier to go with consoles - after all, Crysis 2 & 3 have jointly cost me about £8 pounds when bought for console and without the need to worry about whether I will need new hardware or to go under the hood and do a lot of optimising to get them to run at all...

For the record though:
My Steam Handle is: coyote_actual
I have bought myself some stuff from Steam in the sale - Unreal Tournament for £1.49. The first five X-Com games for less than £3 (I'll only play three of them in all likelihood, but even so - it was cheaper to buy the three good ones and the other two than to buy any two of the good ones on their own). And System Shock 2, still one of the best First Person games made, for insanely cheap... Yeah, money well spent.
