Good, overall. Multiworld was wonderfully weird, and it's great to have Transformers do things that only beings with computer program brains can do. You can argue the logic of Prime's decision at the end, but it was suitably shocking and showed he put principles over pragmatism, which was very much in character.

They should have always been an extra story in between the issues. Going by US you have Megatron giving a message using the 2 Runs then suddenly 10 new characters have been built. Going by UK Optimus has just come back from the dead while the bots have only had resources for Wheeljack to build a fake Prime - unless he used parts from Protectobots assigned parts to make that?

Yes I remember enjoying this one - Megatron's cheating especially. Weird to think how long Prime was off-stage following this.

He was only gone for 44 issues - with being in flashback in #150. But Martin'll state he never returned - the real Optimus in Marvel run that is. Then #161-163,177-179,194 onwards until Earthforce.

That's nearly four years though. And unlike Megatron and Shockwave he wasn't bought back in the UK early, either...
I don't remember Afterdeath itself as having much of an impact, especially after Prey did much the same only better. The next issue, with Ratchet feverishly working to save Prime though? That had an impact.
I really wish that the Mechanic had been held back an issue and Bob let surgery/funeral/Ratchet breathe.

Transformers UK was weekly during that period: even if you take PMOP as the true return (#176?), it's not even 18 months. It just felt longer to us back then!

Oh, I thought he meant 44 US issues. My bad!
