Hmm. Kapow's description says 11.5cm tall. That is quite small really. These sound like Revoltech type figures.

They are above the price I would pay unless I see them in person and am amazed.

Likewise. Being die-cast at least justifies some of the cost. And the display stand accessories are nice. But... That's pricey.

Same here. I'd rather pay a bit more and get Salmoore.

I'm not sufficiently attached to Machine Robo to spring for those at that price. (Lack of an income also is a factor in this).
Given the presence of die-cast, the display stand and things it isn't outside of the ballpark that I had envisaged them coming it at - on the high-end of the range but not outside the bounds of where I was thinking.
They are more at the "hmmm, no" level - rather than the "hahahahahahah, no!" one. If I saw an Eagle Robo at a convention I might be tempted under "special situation" rules, but not as a "bog-standard import" thing.

They look so good, but cannot warrant £160 on Go-Bots.. yet.

So I got Leader 1, Screwhead, and Tank in today. The new Machine Robos are as tall as a CW deluxe. They're pretty intricate, very detailed, and given the intricacy, size, and stand? They deserve to be called Masterpieces more than Takara's current crop of MPs.

Okay, I jumped the gun. My observations were all based on Eagle Robo (Leader 1). Eagle Robo, definitely worth buying. Definitely mini-masterpiece.
Rod Drill (Screwhead) is soooo much less. Considerably smaller and less detailed and less intricate. He's firmly scout size. Feels cheaper than Eagle. You need to swap his head out for the drill in drill mode. His crotch piece prohibits his leg articulation. Unless you're a completist, wait for a sale, or skip.
Battle Robo (Tank) is middle ground. Better and bigger than Rod, but not as good as Eagle. Better detailed than either. Eagle may have a cooler design, but battle is more visually interesting. If you're a completist or like the design, then he's worth full price. Otherwise wait for a sale. But he's worth having.

Definitely adding one or two of these to the BBTS pile before I ship it, I'm gonna get CUTA'd hard anyway, so might as well!

As a person without income currently I'll not be tempted by these. If I do have an income again in due course however, there are a couple of those which I could see myself picking up.

Same here. I have a fondness for Gobots/Robo Machines from childhood but not enough to pay 'collector prices' on new ones without seeing one in the plastic. I'd bite if one dropped to £30 and I had the spare pennies at the time.

Seeing Legios' Fitor on the Hub table at the TFN script reading on the Saturday night (was it Legios'? it was looking at him...) reminded me how small Gobots are. Tiny!

Seeing Legios' Fitor on the Hub table at the TFN script reading on the Saturday night (was it Legios'? it was looking at him...) reminded me how small Gobots are. Tiny! It was looking at me - it was giving me the "go on, you know we should go up for a test-flight" look that I end up sharing with a lot of high-performance aircraft mecha :-) - but wasn't actually mine sadly. My acquisitions were all stowed away in my case on Saturday night, I was terribly organised at TFN - at least compared to the guddle of packing that ended up being done at the end of AAs. Nice to see these in stock at Kapow - they are a little over the point where I want to try them sight unseen either. Otherwise I would be tempted to sell some stuff to cover an Eagle Robo. (Love what they've done with the gunpod - splitting it into parts so that it has both the classic dual rails under each wing and a version of the conformal fuel tanks is a really nice way to update the fighter mode.)
