It would help explain why they changed the title of the comic book.....

Intriguing. Is that the end of the Prime/RiD continuity then? I wonder what implication that has for the toy line that should run alongside this. What will replace RiD in our toyshops?

Hmmmmmmm we will see! (I bet it's rubbish! ) No way it'll be a G1 redux unless Hasbro are suddenly panicing after TF5 not doing well (but they won't have had time to turn the ship around surely)

If it is, it'll be a big move, because that implies the toyline will tread on the Generations line's toes. Ooh! Exciting! What is the future of the 'main' toy line?

Of course it's G1 Redux, because hasbro doesn't realize that (real) RiD, BW, BM, UT, and Animated exist. They also don't realize it's possible to do something... I dunno... NEW.

Surely this can only mean the return of Tommy Kennedy.

We can but hope.
Also: I really hope that's a placeholder name. Cyberverse id fine for a toyline, but a TV show? Doesn't quite work, does it?

It sounds like its going to be an anthology kind of thing. Which sounds expensive in terms of having to create lots of new character models for each episode. But then thinking about it, RiD does quite well on that front.

RID does quite a bit of redos of the same characters but then there are no toys of that character until 2yrs later. But this could be interesting. We have new stories on Dr WHo so this is going to maybe Transformers new timeframe each few epsiodes

But then thinking about it, RiD does quite well on that front. If it is an anthology thing I suspect that it will be on a "one year, one story" format - so that "Chapter One" will be a block of episodes with one over-arching arcplot, set in a particular place, and then "Chapter 2" will be a slightly different setting and a slightly different cast with a different arc-plot following the next year. That'd mean they only had to come up with a new load of designs once a year. And if they did enough generic setting elements they might be able to reuse them across multiple chapters - like Transformers:Prime's canyon element which did them well for many a day. :-) Karl

I think that would work really well. It'd give them a get out clause to reboot each year if they felt it wasn't working.

I expect if any new toys go with this cartoon they have been designed & in prototype form right now for testing. But how soon before we see the first image of a character?

Err... a focus on Bumblebee? A ghostly Prime in the background? Windblade?
We've been here before, haven't we?

We can see we are going to be getting an ever cheaper Bumblebee toy from that design. Its just the RID one but looking cheaper then transferred to animation model. So we have Hotrod (called Bumblebee even when they have Bumblebee back since 2007 but they continued with Hotshot Bumblebee Hotrod mashup) Optimus Prime looking really TFA & can't someone tell Hasbro everyone hates that character

Bit worried by the midriffs.
No wait, listen. Look at them. Both Bee and Windy have very humanised torsos wearing robot pants. Like Elita-1's crew from The Search for Alpha T.

Will judge it when it comes out.
It's a promo piece, I remember how badly people reacted to TF:Animated based on the promo art.

Indeed. If it's anything like RiD it'll be great. The eyes are odd though. Blank like that they're losing a lot of the face's ability to emote.

I read the press release for the premise. It's not for me. Will give it a miss.
