It's quite amazing how powerful red haze is when it comes to fighting common sense.

These do indeed all look great - not only proper Cybertronian modes, but the robot modes look like they might actually be alien robots from another planet - they're really evocative of the original G1 toys, which I really appreciate.
Brawn has to be my favourite. He doesn't have the Cylon face of the original, but the oversized helmet gives a similar impression, and his general proportions just make him look alien and, well, Brawn-y. The only thing he's missing is the clamps. Ratchet also looks great, and Soundwave... has a nice robot mode. I didn't know if I was going to bother with him and Ravage because I don't like Ravage's head sculpt, but since they interact, it's a must. Oh well.
And for anyone who's wondering what Soundwave turns into, Brentosaur on Twitter has some ideas:
Although as far as I'm concerened it's some sort of space crab...

I wonder if Ravage does something they haven't told us about.
I mean, he tucks his tail and head under himself, and "folds" his legs into something that calling it a cube would be generous. That's a pretty BS transformation for a ten dollar toy, when Hasbro has done better with less in the past (Siege and U2 Ravages are far more impressive). He has a gray panel on his back that looks like it has no purpose in his transformation to block mode. Also the rocket mounted underneath him is Soundwave's missile.
Ah well, even if this is all there is to him, it still looks better than TR Ravage.

These do look really really good. This is what movieverse should have been like from the start!
No red haze here though. I can't go down this road.

Indeed. But so does my Siege Soundwave so...not really interested in this. Of all of them, Wheeljack is my favorite.

FINE. I'll get Soundwave then. Dammit. And Ravage looks much better with his mouth open. Which is not something I often say about anyone.

Soundwave does indeed look great, but Siege Soundwave's robot mode is G1 to the G, he has a G1 accurate lamp mode and while Siege Ravage is not the best, Laserbeak is fanastic so I would have to win the lottery to get the BB version.
BB shockwave is very interesting, gives me more of a Superlink Lazerwave feel than a G1 Shockwave feel (they were not that far apart, but still). That said, Siege Shockwave is perfect for me. Heck, I still have Fall of Cybertron Shockwave if I need a more stylized version.
Actually I am kind of G1ed out. Would love Hasbro/Takara to bring out new Brave figures but just officially make Transformers Brave a thing and make a G1 animation of it.

This soundwave has too big a head for my taste. Makes him look out of proportion.

A very shitty reveal. Can't see anything. At least they gave us concept art.

Well, from what we *can* see of Arcee I love it. I really love the concept art - it's a great merging of her original '86 movie alt-mode and a motorbike (which is how she tends to be portrayed these days). But it's a nice and beefy motorbike, too - not spindly like a lot of bike bots tend to be. And it also kind of evokes her Titans Return repaint from Blurr. So yeah, I love it. So far I'm all in on this crew.
