I just found out from a friend of a friend something that makes me think thats possible. though I cant figure out why the would have recoloured only one of them if there were plans for a reissue. |

Yep, I definitely had my money on the remaining Prime Master/Pretenders being released as an SDCC exclusive, it looks like I was right off the money.

Such a weird choice. But a fan pleasing one, because... exclusive cassettes!
Well. I say "fan pleasing", but the discovery that one of them's been faction-swapped and recoloured elicited a complete lack of interest from my usually-cassette-bot-obsessed Conjunx. Which, I mean, yeah, they're not the same, but buying this set and repainting is still gonna be slightly cheaper than finding the originals...

Oh gods, grimlock is... not good.
The reports of his hugeness are greatly exaggerated, as TR Sixshot is just as big, and feels more solid.
His tyrannosaur is pretty much theoretical.
...I don't know why it's so hard for Hasbro to make a decent tyrannosaur, over the last several years.

Maybe I got a bum one, or I'm not transforming it correctly (can't understand hasbro's awful grey against grey instructions, these days), but like... ninety percent of the beast mode is held together by joint and pin tension. The coattails don't peg into anything in beast, and end up falling to the ground. The neck isn't much more stable. |

Good. I'll be getting the EE one, that new mould looks great, but the yeloow plastic and lack of details on the retail version makes it look really cheap. Plus cassettes.

Yes. You should have heard the Minibot (who is a cassettebot obsessive) when she discovered that, essentially, each set had half of the original Autobot pair. Or maybe you shouldn't have - my ears have yet to recover. Likewise, my wallet will now have to recover... But IDToys have it? And it's not instantly sold out? What a peculiar development...
Also, damn - I wish I'd not picked up the original SS Ratchet - that new one looks much better.
